We enjoyed our stay very much! The check-in process was very easy as well as the check-out. The condo was very attractive with a cool beach vibe. The location was perfect and really enjoyed the included beach umbrella/chairs service. There were 2 pools which was nice for the kids. Also, having a full kitchen in the condo was an added plus. Overall, we had a great time!

Great location, Great Property!

We had a few things we needed to communicate with the hosts on they were always very quick to respond.The properly was on the first floor right outside the pool. Our family enjoys this location due to our children and easy access to the pool and beach. The properly was well appointed, even had a bunch of beach toys for the kids. There is also beach service included with room with is always a plus.The overall location is perfect and close to many very good local restaurants. It is also very close to Dentin and all it has to offer without having to deal with all the traffic.Overall we really enjoyed our stay, the property, the location, and the unit. Would definitely stay again.,

Great beach escape

This was an amazingly clean and beautiful condo. The pools were fantastic as well as the short walk to the beach. Local eating establishments had great tasting fresh seafood. Would definitely recommend for the peace and quiet and not a lot of traffic. We had a very relaxing time!

Home Away From Home

We love Ft. Walton and love staying at Waters Edge. This stay was no exception. Our room was clean and the owners are very responsive. The room is on the first floor and right next to the pool making in extremely convenient with little ones. Would definitely recommend staying here!

Overall our stay here was great! We loved the easy access to the pool, and the short walkover to the beach, and the parking garage! The condo is wonderful overall. The condo itself needs some updating. The cleaners need to do a better job of thoroughly cleaning the unit. I know it's impossible to get rid of all the sand but we could still feel it on the floors when we arrived. There was quite a bit of dust on top of the dresser in the bedroom. The showers need a deep clean (that or updated). The smoke detector batteries went dead the second day and owners and maintenance quickly got this fixed. We would stay here again!!

Ground Floor Stay

Our Okaloosa Island stay was great! We loved being on the ground floor with the pool right outside our room! Our family of five fit perfectly in this condo, with our 6 and 4 year olds on the bunk beds and our 8 month old in the room with us. Our kids enjoyed the sand toys and boogie boards that were in the closet. I wish I could’ve given an overall 5 star review, but with a crawling baby, it was hard not to notice that the place hadn’t had a DEEP clean in a while. Our crawler found lots of “goodies” under tables, couches, and beds. However; this didn’t stop us from enjoying our stay, and we hope to be back next year!

Great place and great location

Love the close proximity to the parking garage, the pool, the beach! Noise didn't seem to cause any issues for us with the pool or walkways. Could have been a little cleaner, and the TV in the living room really needs a Roku device, or should be a smart tv. That would solve a lot of issues with wasting time on trying to figure it out. But wouldn't deter us from staying again. Absolutely met our needs and was super comfortable. Kids loved the bunk beds and they weren't tiny either. Nice sized. Having 2 bathrooms was perfect. All in all great place, I don't think you will be disappointed staying there.

Great Stay For Family

I really enjoyed this property. The grills were excellent, the pools were clean, and the ocean view was great. My only complaints are that the garbage disposal didn’t work, the cleaners didn’t leave us any garbage bags besides two and two rolls of toilet paper. For a 7 day stay they should leave more than two of everything. Also, I hated the TV setup. They had 3 remotes and it took a few days to figure it out, but overall, we will definitely be back and would stay at this unit again. I loved the bulletin board with restaurants and things to do in the area. That was very cool! I would also like to highlight the owners were awesome and very responsive. Thank you for letting us stay we really enjoyed your property.

Fantastic, easy pool and beach location!!

This property was perfectly set up for me and my 2 small children!! Parking was close to the door! No elevator or steps needed to enter this unit!!! The patio is steps from the pool. You could sit on the patio and watch your small children swimming in the pool. It is also steps from the beach which is perfect!!! All in all this unit is a great spot!!! Drawbacks of this unit, it needs a tremendous amount of updating all of the appliances are very old and don’t work all that well. The company that is cleaning this unit does a very very very poor job!!!! However the location of this unit helped me overlook of those issues while vacationing there.

Regrettably disappointed

We have been coming to the Fort Walton Beach for many years and this unit was very disappointing.It was not clean, the air conditioning was not comfortable, it did get down to the temp that we set it at but it still felt hot. My husband pulled the filter out and it was coated with thick dust. The couches were stained and not comfortable. The remote in the living room did not change channels. The bed was very uncomfortable. The dishes were put away dirty. We don’t like to leave reviews like this but this unit needs attention and if we owned this I would want to know We treat the units we stay in like it’s our home. We rented two units and the other unit was perfect. The property managers were amazing to let us know that we could check in early, which we did at 1 pm. We were very grateful for that.

Amazing stay

The host is very friendly! The pool is AMAZING! I had a hard time getting my kids out of the pool to go to the beach. You have to get up really early and on the beach to get chairs and an umbrella. We went out by 9 each morning and almost all of them were taken up. The guys running the beach items were super friendly. My only complaint would be that the WiFi was absolutely horrible. I even bought a hotspot through Cox and wasted $20 because it was awful too. Also note if you have a family of six you will be washing and drying clothes day and night. The washer and dryer is tiny! The stay was amazing even with the WiFi and washing/drying issues. I loved that we were ground level. I picked this condo just for that reason. My 8 year old is autistic and has sensory issues to light. It was so easy to just get out of the pool and go right in to the condo before he would have a melt down.

Fall Break Vacation

This was our first time to Fort Walton/ Destin area. We fell in love with the clean beach’s and beautiful blue water. The condo was is a great location on the first floor and it was a big bonus that the beach umbrella and chairs are included into the room rate! I gave a 3/5 for cleanliness. For the most part the sand was cleaned on all the floors but the dust on the surfaces and the bathrooms could have been cleaned a lot more thoroughly. There was a loud constant noise that sounded like a washing machine running on the floor above. Contacted the owner and it turns out it was the pool pump right next to the room. The owner was able to get ahold of the property’s management team and the maintenance guy was able to set this pump on a timer so that it didn’t run during the night but could still be heard during the day while we were away at the beach/pool. Overall a great vacation and will definitely be back to Fort Walton Beach!

It worked well for us. It is a nice condo and convenient for location being on first floor. Minor complaints. Housekeeping could have been a bit better with dirt under beds and couch. An article of clothing was left in the laundry closet. Some other issues we found but was of no great importance to us.

The condo had the best location for someone with small children as it is steps from the pool and then the beach. It was so close to many fun attractions and restaurants. The beach is beautiful and the property is well maintained and cleaned daily. We had the best time!

Great property!

4th year staying at Waters Edge and this condo was just as great as our previous rentals at this facility. Owners like Natalie make a great vacation even better because you know that they take pride in sharing their piece of the Emerald Coast with the rest of us and that is one of the many reasons we continue to return to Waters Edge! We have come to appreciate the convenience of a ground floor unit the past few years and the location of this unit near the pool gate, as well as the charcoal grill located at the property, is ideal for our family. My teen daughter said the memory foam mattered pad for the sleeper sofa was comfortable and of course the younger ones love the hall bunks. The primary bedroom and bath was great for my wife and me. As the family sherpa, I appreciate the location to the parking garage and trash disposal! Beach service is a wonderful added benefit. Also, the drying rack for towels and swimsuits on the patio was a wonderful surprise. I was pleasantly surprised at how quiet this unit was during our stay. I thought we may hear some gate noise from other renters accessing the back of the property near the pool, but not once did I hear anything of that sort during our stay! Even the pool noise isn’t really noticeable during the day and not at all in the evening when the crowd has thinned out. The pool has to be one of the best of all the facilities on this strip. We had plenty of plates, utensils, etc. As simple as it seems, already having some salt and pepper, coffee and filters available in the condo was appreciated. We love Stewby’s so the ability to run down and pick it up and bring back to the condo is a plus for us. We had Parlor donuts for the first time this trip and recommend it as well. We are no longer Crab Island virgins! Great experience and rented from Luther’s at Destin Harbor. Will definitely do it again! My only recommendation would be to have a charcoal chimney starter for this unit stored in the unit. This would assure the renters of this unit aren’t at the mercy of another person at the grills trying to get their grill going at the same time using the chimney starter that stays at the grills. We look forward to returning to Waters Edge again and this unit will be at the top of our families list!

Why they chose this property

From the first time we visited the Ft Walton Beach area, we immediately fell in love with all that it has to offer. The beautiful powder white sand beaches and emerald blue water make us love coming back to the area time and time again. This property has modern updates, an open spacious living area and the best beach access as compared to all the surrounding properties. Just steps from the first floor patio, and you are on the famed white sand beaches. We hope you enjoy our little slice of heaven as much as we do!

What makes this property unique

Okaloosa Island condos are restricted in size and height so you have more freedom to enjoy the beach. We are situated between Ft. Walton and Destin, so you can skip the traffic if you want, or hop over either way for dinner or more fun. Our condo was built in 2003 and has been well-maintained, both inside and out. The beachside pool is fabulous!!!!
