About this property
GRANDMAS VACATION HOME ON REEDS CREEK, WV No WiFi or cell service. No hottub!!
This is my grandmothers first house that she bought on her 12th move, around 1937 This house became my home along with my older sister and brother for our mother and dad made their home with our grandmother. We have decided to keep the house and rent it to vacationers who would like to spend family time with relaxation and enjoying staying in Grandmas house. There are 3 bedrooms upstairs one with queen bed and 2 with double beds and full bath and 1 bedroom downstairs with double bed and with commode and sink off bedroom and washer and dryer is in this bedroom also. The living room has a gas standing fireplace that heats the entire house with the upstairs door open. This home is completely furnished and also has some treasures of hers still there. It is in a country setting with 2 porches to set on and enjoy the beautiful surrounding of mother nature.Deer grazes in the field across the road almost every evening. In front of our property the government owns all the land where hunting fishing, hiking and exploring mother nature is out the front door. The road is a great road to walk on or bring your bike and enjoy riding on these West Virginia back roads and enjoy the beauty of the area. This house is just 5 mile from the Smoke Hole canyon, where the South Branch River is stocked each spring March, April and May and also October. Come stay at Grandmas house, I don't think you will be disappointed. Darlene my sister lives in the large brick house that you can see if sitting on the back porch and as you enter Tract Mtn Rd. If you need to use a phone since there is no cell phone service here and no landline without going in either direction 4 mile she would be happy to let you use her phone . The is a plus that my sister lives close by to answer any questions you may have after your arrival.

So glad you enjoyed your stay at Grandmas house. It truly has the feel of all Grandmas homes back in time. Hope you can return again sometime. Sure was a beautiful puzzle you and daughter put together, I will be framing it and hanging in Grandmas house soon.
Well maintained farm house is the perfect place to unplug. We hiked and drove back roads in Pendleton county. The lists of things to do, hand drawn maps, and lists of restaurants were handy.
Rona did a great job of making sure we had accurate directions and was very easy to communicate with via VRBO message. The house was well cared for and provided one of the most scenic drives as we came in.

We loved the property. Grandma must have been a great lady, her home so inviting and lovely. So quiet and comfy, just what we needed after hiking to Chimney Tops as a family. The bed gave me a wonderful night’s sleep. Her treasures gave her he place an extra level of beauty and conversations. Grandpa had wonderful taste and I am happy we had an opportunity to share the experience. Thanks for the wonderful stay!

Amy was a wonderful sweet guest who appreciated staying at Grandmas house and if I could give a 10 star I definitely would. Hope you can return again while visiting our beautiful area here.
This reminded me so much of a Grandma’s house. It is nestled in beautiful West Virginia. Plenty of space for my family and our dog. We had a great time.

Chrandra so happy Grandmas house was good for your family stay .
Hope you can come back again.
This house was perfect for our little get away. Quite and remote with no wifi and cellphones. Made it enjoyable to spend quality time with my son. The house was very clean and a very welcoming home feelings when entering. Easy acces for parking.
We look forward to booking next year during his next camp.
We enjoyed our stay at Grandma's House for one night while on a family vacation through West Virginia. The home was clean and had everything we needed. We would recommend to anyone. The location is quiet and secluded on the owner's family farm. The hosts were friendly and accommodating, even leading us on a hike up the mountain to a family cemetery. Thank you! We had a great time.

Daniel and family were nice friendly people who we enjoyed meeting that evening and hiked with them up a steep hill where he was looking for a small cemetery where his GGG grandparents had been buried.
So happy I was able to guide them to this gravesite.
We enjoyed our stay and everything as as advertised. The instructions for getting there could have been a bit more clear because there are two different Tract Mountain roads in the area and it's kind of easy to get lost. There is a short and a long way to get there from 220.

Sorry Robin about the road sign of Tract Mtn not far on the Hammer Run rd. This was always Brady Hollow rd and the 911 replaced this sign it is so wrong.I am trying to this this sign corrected.
But yes the Tract Mtn rd where Grandmas house is 4 mile in and Grandma’s house sits on the corner of Tract Mtn and Reeds Creek road.
You all were wonderful guests.
Property was just an old farm house. I didnt exspect much but i will say there is 3 channels 2 of which were info commerical channels. I have been in many old farm houses with family living in them. This one is in need of repair i was in down stairs bed room and once my friend was in upstairs bedroom i am sure the bed was comming through the floor the floor was bowing. Also there was no water pressure one point in the evening and little water pressure the rest of the stay.
This was a charming and comfortable house! Even smelled like my grandmother’s house a little when I walked in - in a good way! Make sure to go outside and look at the stars if staying here. We were able to see the Milky Way due to the lack of light pollution.
Great little house reminds of my grandma farm house
