Relaxing week close to the shore of Strangford Lough. Cabin was ideal for our needs; owner gave us a tour and then left us to it. Clean, well equipped, quiet, and everything worked.

Thanks for taking the time to review and delighted you had a relaxing break
Loved our stay here, the cottage was beautiful. The view from the hot tub was amazing. Lovely secluded location for a break away from the world. Highly recommend and would definitely go back.
The cabis is absolutely amazing! Photos don't do it justice, we were very pleasantly surprised when we got there. It has everything you may need for a short stay. Will definitely be coming back again.
Owners were amazing... super responsive, very friendly, and welcoming. Location was loaded with outstanding views of the countryside and water (lough). Hot tub was perfect. Cabin had everything we needed. We would go back in a second.
Nice place off the beaten track, can walk 3 mins down to the water. Owner Robin excellent to respond quickly to our questions & provide advice/information.
Went for just 3 days for a mini meditation retreat. Even though it was stormy weather, I still managed to get in the hot tub 3 times which was wonderful. It's definitely worth getting up early to catch the sunrise over the lough also - stunning view. Overall great stay :)

Delighted you enjoyed the short stay despite the Irish weather
It is absolutely beautiful, Perfect getaway if you want some quiet quality time. Celebrated our second anniversary with my partner. Wish we had booked an extra day. Everything was excellent. Loved the bottle of wine waiting in the fridge a welcoming personal touch after a long drive. It’s now our anniversary getaway spot!!Booking for 2026 already
Property was exactly as advertised and more. Robin, the host was very informative about the local area. Privacy was first class. Would definitely recommend and also return in future.
The property surpassed our expectations in every aspect. We had a very personal welcome from Robin and were given a tour which made us more comfortable settling in. Many thanks for kind review and delighted you enjoyed the hot tub. Never a problem the short 1 min walk to the tub in the side garden. That is where the sea views are…..
An Absolutely Perfect Stay at Strangford Lough! Our stay at Robin's beautiful VRBO in Killinchy was a huge part of what made it so special. The cottage was pristine, beautifully decorated, and had everything we could possibly need. It was the perfect cozy retreat after a day of exploring the stunning Strangford Lough and surrounding areas. The location is idyllic, offering a peaceful and serene escape while still being conveniently close to local pubs and scenic walking paths. It's clear that Robin takes immense pride in their property and genuinely cares about their guests' experience. We couldn't recommend this place more highly. Thank you, Robin, for your outstanding hospitality! We're already dreaming of our next visit.
We have a fabulous stay from start to finish in this lovely cabin. The cabin was located behind the main house, but was totally private. Everything we needed was there. We toured around all around strangford lough, Downpatrick and Newcastle. We didn’t see our hosts only at check in as we didn’t need them for anything. Checkin our host Thomas was very friendly and welcoming and covered all we needed to know. Would highly recommend the cabin, it’s pristine, private and very beautiful. Oh and the hot tub was wonderful esp a after a days walking.

Thanks for review. Delighted to welcome you both back anytime
Overall a brilliant stay. Amazing views and lovely facilities. Made to feel really welcome by Robin and his family. Would highly recommend! Just wish we could have stayed longer. Thanks 😊
This family accommodation was excellent for my wife and I and better than we could of imagined. We have stayed in different places before that has hot tubs but not with a view like we had. Accommodation is amazing and Robin the owner is always there to help if required. We will talk about our time here with our friends and will probably return in future

Delighted you enjoyed the views of Ballymorran Bay
A cosy, roomy and very comfortable cabin-style cottage with all the facilities needed for a quiet and relaxing break. The location was perfect for visits to several NT properties, Hillsborough Castle and the Castle Espíe wildfowl sanctuary, as well as exploring the coastline and islands of Strangford Lough.
The owners could not have been more helpful, providing barbecue facilities and exclusive use of a separate summer house with sauna, hot tub and spectacular views across the lough - perfect for relaxing at the end of the day.
