Very nice and clean. Easy walking to buses and the wall. Great place, great sleeping. Little busy outside on weekend evenings but no bother. AC was a great addition and the elevator for luggage!

Spacious apartment in a great location. The apartment is clean and comfortable. Amazingly quiet with the busy location, especially over the weekend when people meet at the bars downstairs. Coffee shops around the corner. Convenient location just inside the wall where you can rent a bike and go! A great stay!

Excellent, well-equipped apartment in great location.

This is a comfortable and very well equipped apartment in a perfect location --just inside the city walls. Communication with Wilma, the host, was excellent.

The apartment was lovely and the host,Wilma, was a delight. I always wanted to stay in the walled city and I’m so glad my experience was above and beyond my expectations. The apartment was so close to everything. I would give it an A+ got cleanliness.

A home away from home!

This place made us feel like we could actually live here! A nice 2 bedroom apartment! There is a great deli shop steps away where we bought eggs, cheese, vegetables, fruit and wine. That shop closes between 2 and 4 p.m. and then re-opens. We were also able to walk to the apartment from the train station, which is a bonus.

Loved spending 2 weeks in this apartment.

Apartment was immaculate, exactly as described and well equipped. Perfect for our 2 weeks in local. Ideal neighborhood near everything; ramparts, shopping. Bars and restaurants, the Anfiteatro. It had everything. The wine bars and craft beer bars across the small piazza brought locals and tourists most nights. Local deli, bakeries and markets were amazing and extremely reasonable. Owner was informative and responsive. Perfect 2 weeks.

A wonderful gem

Our first impression was "beyond expectations!" Handsomely decorated and super clean! The bedrooms were in the back of the apartment, so any street noise was muffled. Our hosts met us and explained everything; a nice new elevator is available for those not wanting to climb stairs (2nd floor) we felt secure and safe. There was everything we needed to prepare meals and our hosts welcomed us with a few nice gifts of essential foods so waking up on our first morning in Lucca was effortless. We could easily walk to a nearby gourmet grocery, coffee shop, bread shop and restaurants - we were able to walk about 10 minutes to train station which linked us to several nearby towns. We were able to wash clothing; although i would advise if you are not familiar with the type of washer you may be a bit perplexed - but never fear - just YouTube the brand and you will find a complete video guide!! We loved our stay and i would reccomend this apartment for anyone from a romantic visit to a family to stay. We never really needed to contact the hosts but im sure if we did...they would be responsive - My only reason to give this lovely space a negative is so that we can keep it all to ourselves! Thank you for a most comfortable and easy week in Lucca! Grazie.

Wat een heerlijke locatie! Zo in de stad, zo buiten de muur. Het appartement is met veel stijl ingericht. Leuke kunst, goed bed, super schoon, alles erop en eraan. Zoals bijvoorbeeld koffie, thee, eerste benodigdheden (zout, peper, suiker, olie etc.) spelletjes.

VIELEN DANK

Centro Storico

This is a nice comfortable apartment to rent inside the walls! The best delicatessen is near by for delicious sauces, pasta , fruit, and cheeses to prepare at home. Good location on piazza with fresh water source just outside the front door. Elevator a plus after miles of walking each day.

Alles in allem wunderbar.

Loved it, loved it, loved it!!!

Wilma’s apartment is everything one could ask for. It was everything we could have asked for and more . In our 10 night stay we felt like it was our home. It’s beautifully furnished , very well supplied with breakfast condiments through to basics . Michele, Wilma’s hubby, very generously picked up from the train station and chauffeured us to the apartment. We then met up with Wilma who went through all we needed to know about the apartment and to top it off we were gifted a bottle of wine and some Italian biscuits . The location is great because it’s close to everything. A lovely piazza to look out onto, a couple of minutes walk from the wall and the main street of Lucca. With double glazed windows, the apartment is very quite and peaceful. All in all, we would definitely recommend Wilma’s apartment. As far as we’re concerned, it’s perfect. Thank you Wilma for making our experience in Lucca that much more memorable.
