About this property

Gone To The Beach - Fabulous Beach Home on 30A

Located between Seaside and Destin in beautiful Santa Rosa Beach, Gone To The Beach is a 4 bedroom, 3 bath cottage with a tower that is part of a small neighborhood of only 75 cottage style homes called Old Florida Village, on the north side of 30A. A community pool just a few steps down a private drive makes keeping tabs on those loved ones especially convenient and beach access is a short stroll (approximately 550 yards or .3 mile).

The house is very tastefully decorated with relaxing furniture. A gas barbecue grill is provided for your family cookouts. The bedrooms are furnished as follows: king size bed in master, a queen in two other bedrooms, and two twins in the fourth bedroom. One of the queen bedrooms is on the first floor which is very convenient.

The tower room has a daybed that converts to two twin sized beds and an entertainment center - great for kids to sleep and hang out. Two porches will give you time to sit outside and relax while reading a book or talking to friends and family. The family room, three of the four bedrooms, and the tower room all have televisions.

Old Florida Village is just a short ten-minute drive to Silversands factory outlet mall as well as all the family and adult activities of Sandestin. Across the street is Goatfeathers, a great seafood restaurant, and other great restaurants, shopping boutiques, summer concerts, artist fairs and continuous entertainment options at gulf place which is just a short walk. The quaint villages of Grayton Beach, watercolor, and seaside are just 4-8 miles down the beach highway. Old Florida Village is ideally situated within a quarter mile of 2 public beach accesses with clean public facilities and plenty of parking.

After a cold weather condition we were able to experience a wonderful stay.

Family Get Away!

What a great vacation home! My husband, three adult kids, their spouses and our grandbaby stayed here for 5 nights. The house is super cute and well decorated. Loved the front porch, access to pool, a quick 2 min. walk down the path & close access to the beach! Only complaints..the beds were super firm/hard for some folks & the grill could use a good cleaning. We would definitely recommend! Also, communication was outstanding👍

Very nice home

Well appointed. A bit of walk to beach, but there is a business close by that rents bikes and golf carts. Bikes made getting to the beach much easier. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and hope to stay there again.

Great time!

IT WAS VERY NICE. It would have been nice to have at least one bar bath soap for each bathroom. But it was a good time and the beaches are beautiful. Would stay there again.

LOVED IT

We loved our stay here. The property owner was very nice, checking on us, giving us lists of things to do, and always answered any questions even before the trip started! The place was very clean and neat. Great location and area. You are beside alot of other houses in a neighborhood but it was a great one. My kids loved walking around the circle every morning in the stroller. The beach is absolutely beautiful! White sand and beautiful water. Great price for being only 0.3 miles away from the beach. Highly recommend 👌

Perfect for a Wedding Weekend Group!

We came to stay at this property for a wedding weekend in Seaside - we had a few groups of couples coming in from all over, and each of us had our own place to sleep comfortably, with privacy and it felt like a true vacation home! We loved the layout of the home, it was very clean, and in an adorable neighborhood with plenty of parking and a safe feel to the area. We were only a short walk to an adorable town center and beach outlet. Thank you to Dino, our wonderful host for accommodating us and being available for any questions. Check in and check out process was very easy - we had a wonderful weekend here! Highly recommend.

Fall Break 2019

First time in the Old Florida Village and we thoroughly enjoyed the neighborhood. Immaculately kept and a very convenient location to the beach, Santa Rosa restaurants and shops, and a great seafood market, Goatfeathers. The property was perfect for our family of 5. The home was well-appointed and very clean. We were glad not to find any carpet! Nothing worse than staying in a beach rental with matted carpet. The owners and property managers were quick to answer any questions that we had as well. Would recommend this property and hope to stay there again in the future.

Our second time to take our family to Santa Rosa Beach and staying at Gone To The Beach... what memories we made... the house is perfect for us, close to the beach, family friendly neighborhood, beautiful cozy setting in the midst of the business setting of Santa Rosa. Home away from home!

The home is beautiful and had everything we needed! There was 10 of us and everybody had their own space and privacy. Most of it was clean and exactly like it was described when we were searching. Also, a beautiful area to walk and enjoy the scenery! Beach is 10 minute walk or you can drive! Enjoyed every moment of my stay!!

When we arrived the home was great. The owners are very responsive and caring. The kitchen has just been remodeled and there is brand new laminate flooring on the stairs and on the second and third floors. The beds are very comfortable and well appointed. You’ll enjoy your stay!

Wonderful weekend in Santa Rosa Beach

Gone to the Beach was perfect!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this home. It is in a perfect location, 20 min walk to the beach, restaurants and shops. Quick bike ride to Seaside and the perfect ambiance of the location. The home was stocked with plenty of cookware and dishes to serve a large group. Nice large panel TV and comfortable seating in the living area. We will be back again!

Fantastic vacation home in a beautiful neighborhood close to the beach.

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful home. The house was very spacious and beautifully decorated. It is well appointed and has everything you need to cook those special family meals. If you don’t feel like cooking the house is close to some amazing restaurants. What I enjoyed the most is how close this house is to the beach. Just a shirt ten minute walk. We are already looking into booking our next stay.

Perfect Vacation Home

Beautiful home, great location, and adorable neighborhood! We had 4 couples and the house was plenty big. Was great to be able to cook our own meals on vacation, nice kitchen with supplies. The location to the beach is perfect, just about .5 miles, we walked there every day. Overall great rental and would definitely stay there again!

Perfectly Perfect!

Such an adorable little pocket of homes and so close to the beach. Easy parking and access to the beach. It's also very close to walk to the beach. Basically across the street. I can not believe how beautiful the beaches are here. I travel to Mexico at least 4 times a year and this is for sure a new favorite for me. I took my family here for a week vacation and I would do it again in a heart beat. Thank you Gone To the Beach for helping us make amazing memories!

Great place!

Our family traveled to the area for a wedding. We were thoroughly pleased with the beach house. Beautiful layout, very clean and comfortable, and plenty of amenities so that we did not need to bring as much. Mr. DeNicola was very accommodating and easy to work with. He returned my emails quickly answering any questions I had. We would definitely recommend this house. The only suggestion I have is that the picture of the house be updated. The house is now light blue with white trim.

Beautiful home in a gorgeous setting!

When we booked Gone To The Beach we really hit the jackpot! It is beautifully appointed and cared for. Even better than the photos. And, the landlord could not be more helpful or accommodating. Inside and out it was delightful! Loved the floor plan, the way the kitchen worked, the washer/dryer, and the balconies were lovely places to relax when not bike riding around the adorable, quiet, friendly neighborhood, or lounging at beach or pool! It's close to a grocery and drugstore, the outlets and movies are nearby, and the shopping/dining area called Gulf Place (as well as Goatfeathers restaurant/seafood market) provide both convenience and ambiance. Other pluses were the ease and availability for renting beach chairs, umbrellas, bikes and baby gear. We've gone to the panhandle for years and I would pick this over any other development. Already looking at our calendar to book it again!

We first heard about this area by reading an article in Coastal Living magazine in 2010. We didn’t get a chance to visit until June 2012. We immediately fell in love with the area, particularly the sugar white sand beaches, and decided we had to have our own place in the area. By the end of the summer of 2012 we fell in love and purchased “Happy Mermaid”. 4 years later we purchased our second home in the same neighborhood, "Gone To The Beach". It is our pleasure to offer our cottage as 'home' to vacationing families. We take great pride in our property and we are pleased when our guests have a wonderful experience staying in our home.

Why they chose this property

We selected 'Old Florida Village' because of its wonderful location and appeal to families! It is close to everything but not commercial or congested like the more urban areas. Traffic on 30-A is slow and easy! We hope it stays that way for a very long time.

What makes this property unique

As we mentioned earlier we take great care in our cottage and keep it impeccably maintained. It is wonderfully appointed and tastefully decorated. The cottage is immediately across the street from one of the two neighborhood pools. The best part is the cottage is within walking distance to two public beach accesses so you don’t have to worry about finding parking on those busy beach days.
