This suite is fully contained. All you have to do is arrive and enjoy. The historic Phelps Mansion is full of historic character from the original kitchen cabinets to the hardwood floors throughout the unit. There have been many updates through the rehab process and offers many modern amenities. This unit is a one bedroom with a new Amish bed and very comfortable Queen mattress. Located in the living room are two couches. One is an exceptionally comfortable Queen pull-out sleeper, the additional couch can be used to sleep the 5th guest. The kitchen is stocked with all kitchen wares; dishware, silverware, plates, bowls, pots, pans, bakeware, coffee pot, toaster, and microwave. (Serving for 6) Full size refrigerator and gas stove. Free Wi-Fi & cable. Large flat screen TV. Parking available.

This is a beautiful place, very clean. The kitchen is well stocked and had everything we needed. The neighborhood is lovely and quiet. Just a short walk to downtown with lots of restaurants and shops. We would stay there again.

Great location, quiet get-away

This home is located just a few blocks from the downtown shops and restaurants, an easy walk on quiet streets. Off-street parking was a bonus. The suite is very roomy and extremely clean, durnished with the necessities. We were surprised how quiet the evenings and nights were, very peaceful. In all, a great stay and highly recommended.

Stay for Luther Family weekend…AWESOME!

This property, as well as the owners were both fabulous! Off street parking, nice amenities, comfortable HVAC, reliable WiFi, and close to downtown all make this a great option. We’ve been coming to Luther events for the past 5 years as our girls attended Luther and this VRBO location was the absolute best we have stayed at… highly recommended!!!

The suite is in a historic building and has been nicely updated (kitchen, bath, etc.) while maintaining its historic feel. It was extremely clean and well maintained. We have spent a great deal of time renovating this wonderful mansion. We have completed the two suites available on the main floor for our nightly rentals. We are extremely excited to finally be able to offer the suites to our guests to enjoy. We both grew up in Decorah and have chose to stay in the area to raise our own family. Decorah is an amazing town and is full of fun and exciting things to do all the time. Decorah residents are very proud of our little town in northeast Iowa, and we really enjoy inviting guests to our little slice of paradise. We are certain you will enjoy your stay.
