Villa Delfini is a luxury villa situated on the Akrotiri peninsular near Stavros with stunning sea views, it offers everything for the holiday of a lifetime.The villa is 200M2 and consists of 6 double bedrooms all with en suite facilities, all enjoying the beautiful views.Four of the bedrooms have large private balconies where you can enjoy magnificent sunsets and cooling sea breezes. The villa boasts a beautiful,modern Italian designed kitchen, dining area and a large open plan lounge with fireplace, sat TV/ DVD player. The outside area is divided for shaded dining with a large table for alfresco dining and feature barbecue.
A separate, comfortable seated area is perfect for a relaxing sunset drink. From here steps lead to the beautiful pool area equipped with sun loungers and parasols, a large pool with separate children's area, and an outside shower. Villa Delfini has a climate control system and WiFi. There is ample private parking and electric gates at the front of the villa.


Home away from home: Villa Delfini is a stunning villa offering private self contained facilities for all guests with everything you could wish for for a perfect holiday. The house has been designed with families in mind and each bedroom is set on it's own floor with en suite facilities, making it an ideal choice for two or more families sharing. The villa is beautifully appointed with many luxurious touches throughout and in particular boasting Italian bathroom ware and featuring full height German showers and luxurious Egyptian cotton towels.
There are breathtaking views out of every window and from every terrace and balcony ensuring that the villa really does have that wow factor!
The kitchen is spacious and well equipped for entertaining and outside dining as it leads out to the shaded barbecue/ dining area. The kitchen is fitted with a halogen hob, oven and microwave and dishwasher and is equipped with ample crockery and cutlery for indoor and outdoor entertaining.

Great villa with a spectacular location. Comfortable and big rooms. Fantastic pool area. Kitchen utilities could have been bigger. Especially fridge and freezer. Definitely a villa we will recommend.

Stunning views and sunsets

Spent a long awaited (due to COVID!) week at this lovely villa with 7 friends. The views are unbelievable from the pool. Lis (the property manager) was very helpful with recommendations and any issues we had. Look forward to hopefully returning one day!

Perfect heaven!

Views are amazing, lovely sunset terrace, villa was very well equipped, any queries were dealt with quickly by the manager Lis who also gave us a map and showed us where to shop, eat and drink, and also arranged our airport transfers and details to hire a car. Comfy beds, perfect family spaces and pool is heated. Table tennis table and table football were both well used by the teenagers! Beautiful landscaped gardens too. We will definately be back, we all loved it!

Superb place to stay

Can't fault the villa in any way. It's big (there were 13 of us) comfortable and spotless. Each room has an en suite and there are loads of other nice touches such as the big dining table and bbq area. It's fully kitted out and the pool is massive too. Our group has been going on holiday together for 10 years now and this is easily the best place we've stayed at. Good location and some decent places to eat within 5 mins by car. Shout out to Lis the property manager too who was really helpful with checking in, local knowledge etc. Considering coming back already.

A fantastic villa with a marvelous location.

We were a company of 12 people who enjoyed this fantastic villa for a week in June. The pictures we saw before we got there were beautiful, but the reality actually exceeded our expectations. Even though we filled the house with 12 people, it never felt crowded. The kitchen was very well equipped, the pool area was great and last but not least the view with the sunset over the Mediterranean was magnificent. The local house manager was also very helpful and assisted us with shopping in connection with our late arrival, and lots of other tips and recommendations. We can really recommend a stay at Villa Delfini!!

Flawless in all respects

This is a very special place and we all loved it (7-70+ years). There are breathtaking views from every single window. Big pool with more amazing sea views. Outdoor cooking facilities. Large, airy rooms. Everything spotless. Lots to see and do in the surrounding area. Great restaurants a short drive away. The property manager Lis is a goldmine of useful information and always on hand to help. 10/10.

Beautiful villa in a quiet location with sea views

Villa Delphini is a modern villa which is fully equipped with everything you need when you are self catering. It is clean, light and airy with plenty of outside space for relaxing and eating. There is a BBQ conveniently placed near the large table outside where 11 of us could sit with plenty of room. The pool is a good size for swimming or games and the sea views are wonderful. There are several small beaches within walking distance of the villa, each with a Taverna. The manager Lis is very welcoming and will do all she can to ensure that you have a great holiday.

Incredible!

From the moment we entered the villa, we didn't want to leave. The entire booking, checking in and checking out process was seamless. Sarah and Lis are fabulous to work with. We had 8 teens and 3 adults and we all had room to spread out, sleep and relax. The rooms are large and comfortable and each one has an incredible view. The location was perfect for us. It's a 25 min drive to Old Town Chania which is very charming. Close to the airport and many nearby beaches to choose from. Lis will give you eateries to try, places to visit and answer any questions you may have. I highly recommend Villa Delfini! Thank you Sarah and Lis for the dream vacation home!

Best accommodations ever!

Sarah, we are an international group of 8, from the US, UK snd Sweden. We visit a new place every 18 months or so. Villa Delfini was the best yet! We have stayed at Scottish castles, Villa Saraceno in Italy, Stockholm, Sonoma Valley in California, the Scilley islands and a couple of other places. This was our best ever! Lovely property with incredible view

The Villa has a fantastic sized pool and incredible view. It was lovely watching the sunsets. The location is quiet and appreciate all the bedrooms and bathrooms for multiple families staying. Lis was also very informative and resolved issues with the coffee maker we had right away. We had a couple other things come up that were addressed. This is only improvement I would suggest is having some additional maintenance done as some of the property showed some wear and the basement bedroom had a damp/musky smell quite frequently and I expect a dehumidifier needs to be run consistently down there. With that said we really enjoyed the villa, amazing views, pool and visiting the various beaches in the area and going to Chania Old Town.

Family celebration!

Wow! Amazing! This was our reaction on first entering the villa, together with the certainty of knowing that this, carefully chosen villa, was going to be absolutely perfect for our family get together. We were not wrong! The Villa Delfini was wonderful in every way, allowing us the space to go off into little groups or to join together for meals and 'Banagrams' tournaments! We were a mixed group aged from 11 to 60 and the villa fitted all our needs just perfectly. Beautiful pool area, huge terrace/seating areas and very clean, well appointed bedrooms and bathrooms. Plenty of crockery, glasses etc in the kitchen for mass catering and the large barbecue was fab! Sunsets and views abdolutely stunning. Lis, the manager, was a brilliant help - like having your own personal assistant although we tried not to abuse her kindness! The pool was cleaned and sheets/towels etc all changed mid-week, which we appreciated. We had to drag ourselves away from the villa to vist Tersanas beach (beautiful) and take a boat trip with Captain Nick from Chania (to be recommended). Our family came together from England and Australia to celebrate my 60th birthday and it was everything I could have wished for. The beautiful Villa Delfini was the icing on the cake. P.S. Geraniums watered regularly, Sarah!

Villa Delfini - loved by all

Absolutely loved this property!! We were so excited about our family holiday and were so pleased when we arrived at the villa. Stunning 360 degree views of the sea and mountains coupled with sunrises and sunsets made out holiday extra special. You will see from the other reviews how helpful the property manager - Lis, and owner - Sarah are to their guests. I won't repeat anything but will confirm this to be true. On our arrival, we were greeted by Lis who gave us an induction to the property, the space and the surrounding areas. The property itself is, in my opinion, in the perfect location. You have plenty of privacy. Every window frames a beautiful view of either the mountains or the sea or the towns in the distance. Each room was spacious and had enough storage space for our luggage and clothing. Bathrooms were also a good size. We loved the split level living, the outdoor dining area and bbq, the pool, outdoor shower and the smaller dining area at the edge of the property. The roll down shutters ensured a completely darkened room allowing for undisturbed sleep however the beds did take some getting used to. Whilst certainly sufficiently sized, a little soft for our liking. We all felt very safe in the villa especially with the electric gate at the entrance of the villa. The gardens were immaculate! Such a pleasant touch as these invited many beautiful butterflies. We noticed many other villa's did not have any plants or tree's which made us appreciate our space that much more. I really hope to visit Crete again and if I do, I would very much look to stay here again.

Perfect Holiday

What an amazing stay we had at Delfini. Sarah's house is like paradise and Lis was an incredible hostess. We cannot possibly have asked for a better experience. It exceeded every possible expectation. We are a group of eight friends celebrating two 50th birthdays over a year and a half late because of covid. We were so desperate for time away with each other and in a beautiful place and this was perfect. Lis also helped us set up a masseuse to come to the house, a private chef for two dinners at the house, a day of sailing, and transport for early flights. She was easily accessible and an absolute delight. We even had an unfortunate hospital stay and she was so helpful. We left refreshed and blessed. Our only regret is that we could not have stayed much much longer! This is perfect for groups. 6 bedrooms, all en suites, and a beautiful pool overlooking the water. Some nights days/nights we stayed and others we went out and both ways were wonderful. Perfectly located close to the airport, about 30 minutes to Chania, an hour to Rethymon or Kissamos, and about two hours Elafonissi. We wanted to be close enough to things to explore but out of the dizziness and got exactly that. We had cars and everything was so convenient. There are a couple fabulous restaurants and markets and ATM about 5-10 minutes from the house. You will never forget the sunsets from the back terrace. The home is very well decorated and very well stocked. Highly recommend booking this place. Thank you so much Lis and Sarah! ❤️ Lis, we miss you already!!!

Wow - Absolutely stunning!

We had a fantastic week at Villa Delphini. It is without doubt the best Villa that we have stayed in (we’ve stayed in quite a few over the years!), and it accommodated our group of nine with ease. The house is both luxurious and homely, and equipped with everything you need. The pool is huge and the various terraces and outdoor areas are superb with plenty of loungers, seating areas and shade. Sarah was excellent in recommending everything from car hire to places to visit when we booked, and Lis, the property manager, provided an great check in service when we arrived. We’d love to return in the future and spend more time at this beautiful location.

Majestic Delfini Villa Stay in Akrotiri, Crete!

Ahhh Delfini Villa...This is a breathtaking house! All the pictures can’t do justice to how it feels to sit at that table with your family and take in the view! This is to say nothing of the pool, great location, well appointed spacious accommodations. The owner and property manager were very responsive in helping us plan and address any issues. They helped us get a chef for a night who was also superb; a relaxing glorious night like in a movie ..we highly recommend this villa to anyone with a large group looking for a great Greek escape in Crete! Wonderful stay at a beautiful villa

What a week we had at Villa Delfini!! Overall I would definitely recommend this Villa! Let me try and split it out... - Views are spectacular. Those sunsets are unbelievable! - Pool etc is perfect and includes helpful additions such as pool towels colour coordinated by room! There were also plenty of sun loungers for all 11 of us which made it very comfortable. - The eating area outside was one of my favourite spots in the villa. It was lovely and we spent many lunches/dinners and hours sitting there enjoying the views (the shade) and some cold beverages! -Kitchen was well equipped with all required items. We didn't do a lot of "real" cooking - more the odd eggs for breakfast and lots of snacky food (meat and cheese platters, pita breads, dips etc, reheating food in oven). But we found they had everything we needed. - Rooms were great with bathrooms for each room and comfy beds. However we did have an issue with air conditioning while we were there. The technicians came out and fixed most rooms except one which was unable to be fixed until the last night of our stay. Lis was very communicative on this issue though and came out as soon as we complained. - Speaking of Lis, she was the Property Manager and she was brilliant! She helped us with countless things - recommending car rental which was dropped at villa and picked up there, organising a grocery shop to be at villa prior to our arrival, organising a day boat trip, recommendations for a beach club, organising taxi pickups/drop offs, booking COVID tests (& transport) for return to UK, recommending a private chef to come to the villa (who was excellent)... The list goes on and on! Thanks again Lis for your awesome help. - The location of the villa is superb in that the views are stunning and you aren't too hemmed in by other villas etc. If you want to be in the centre of the action though, this is a bit further out and is about a half an hour drive to Chania old town. There are groceries and other tavernas/little beach spots much closer though (a short drive away). This was fine for us - but is worth knowing and you will benefit from having a car while you are there. - I guess only other niggles are that sometimes the shower had variable cold/warmth but I suspect this is more of a general issue for Crete rather than specific to this villa. Overall, if you are thinking about it, all I can say is BOOK! My friends and I have all said we would love to return to this beautiful villa!

perfect stay

we enjoyed the stay very much. it was all perfect. twice a week it had been cleaned and the towels and sheets were changed. the outside area had even been cleaned almost every day. the equipment is also great. everything is very nicely decorated and very clean. the villa is a „bijou“ and the location & views are breathtaking. the villa has everything you need for an unforgettable stay! it was just a fantastic holiday thanks to villa delfini!

Séjour en famille inoubliable !

La villa Delfini est un vrai havre de paix. Nous avons séjourné dans la maison pendant une semaine, 11 adultes et 3 enfants de 2 et 3 ans. La maison est parfaitement équipée, la situation est à couper le souffle, Lis promet un accueil des plus chaleureux et les échanges avec Sarah ont été très appréciables... Nous avons passé des vacances de rêves, les chambres offrent des vues magnifiques et permettent à chaque couples d'être indépendant. Je recommande vivement cette location et espère pouvoir y séjourner à nouveau !

Wonderful holiday at Villa Delphini

We made a last-minute booking at Villa Delphini due to the UK Government advising against all travel to Spain, resulting in us abandoning our initial holiday plans. The owner, Sarah, was so helpful in providing flexibility and assurance should the government restrict our travel to Greece, and we are incredibly grateful. It is so refreshing and positive to see an owner that is understanding to the current conditions that are affecting us all. Sarah is an example of an excellent villa owner on Home Away. Thank you again! Villa Delphini is in a fantastic location with the most stunning sunsets (and sunrise!). The villa is immaculate and well equipped with each bedroom having its unique style. The area is tranquil, which suited us, but close enough to get to the supermarket, gyms, Chania town and local beaches. The airport is 15 minutes away. Lis, the property manager, is absolutely lovely and always on hand to help and assist with anything you need. We also asked her to pre-stock the fridge before we arrived, which was a huge help. Lis also helped with car hire delivery to the villa, so we didn't have to queue at the airport - 5* service, thank you, Lis! We returned well-rested and relaxed. We loved Chania and hope to return.

Fabulous villa

On arrival at Villa Delfini we were extremely impressed. The villa exceeded our expectations and all guests were delighted with the facilities it had to offer. As we were a party with keen culinary skills we were pleased to see the kitchen so well equipped. Lis was wonderful and informative, always at hand when needed. Attention to the comfort of guests was very evident with outside areas being cleaned and swept every morning. We had the most enjoyable stay at this beautiful villa.

Why they chose this property

Villa Delfini was completed in July 2011 and marked the culmination of 5 years of design, planning, site clearing, building, painting, and shopping!
We first visited the Akrotiri in 1994 and fell in love with the place and the people, and returned for family holidays on and off for the next 10 years. Finally we took the plunge and bought this land and started planning our dream villa. Work began in 2007 and was slowed down by the fact that no building could take place during the summer, as this was a condition of the sale. However in Greece if the weather is bad no building can take place!! Add to that a global recession and the usual challenges of family life and you can perhaps see why it took so long! I have to say and I hope you’ll agree it was worth waiting for! We think the views are simply stunning and its very easy to while away the hours just gazing at all that blue!
We are very happy to be renting out our home and hope that you enjoy it and this area of Crete as much as we do, and maybe start to fall in love with it too.

What makes this property unique

You can enjoy the most amazing sunsets, from the huge terrace, or if you prefer, from the swimming pool! It has to be seen to be believed!
