Peaceful and private family villa, big pool, wellness, views of sea and mountain

The four-bedroom villa Dimitri has 200 sq.m of comfortable living space spread across two floors. This villa contains two very large living rooms and full service kitchen. All three bathrooms include showers, with the larger bathroom having a bath with jacuzzi.

This villa has two levels which are connected via an indoor wooden staircase. There are two bedrooms on the first floor, and two on the second floor. Each floor has its own living area with sofa/settees that convert into beds.

The Dimitrios villa has 45 sq.m of outdoor balcony space, with extraordinary views of the sea, the White Mountains and the valley of Palia Vrisi. There is a large upstairs veranda and a large covered downstairs patio. The pool area is expansive with adequate sunbathing space for all members of the holiday.

To ensure complete privacy and peaceful environment, each villa is surrounded by naturally crafted stone walls and various kinds of flowers, aromatic herbs, olive trees, lemon trees and apricot trees. To learn more about where the villas are situated on the grounds please look at our aerial pictures. Each villa offers natural surroundings for you and your family to relax and have fun.

Our villa has all you need and more to enjoy a self catering holiday. Adding to the sense of space, there are wooden cathedral ceilings throughout the villas. The villas have ceramic tile floors throughout and state of the art windows and doors that open vertically and horizontally. All windows and doors, including slide doors, contain screens. To ensure a comfortable climate, each room has an air conditioning unit.

Mike and Helen, the owners, who speak Greek and English, live nearby and are there to help and give any advice you may need.

We had a family of 3 generations staying at the house. Lots of room for everyone. The pool was good for everybody. We enjoyed being out of the city but not very far away. We had those country roads figured out by the time we left and our favorite routes into town.

Away from it all…

A very comfortable villa away from busy Chania. We had great views of the mountains and the sea. The pool was especially nice to cool down after a hot day; it was cleaned every day and we enjoyed watching the swallows (birds) dip in the pool every day. Would recommend and would stay again if we were to return to western Crete.

A week in Crete

We had a fantastic time staying at this property. Helen kindly came to meet us en route to guide us in as the property is a little remote. She also baked us a cake and left some provisions - very thoughtful. She was always on hand if we had any queries. The property itself is large and spacious with excellent amenities. Fantastic pool and bbq area. A car is essential here as there is a steep hill to the village and a fifteen minute drive to nearest large supermarket. Overall we would definitely recommend this property and would love to come back sometime.

AMAZING

This is the most charming villa in a peaceful location with wonderful sea views. Mike and Helen were very good to us. They met us near the villa and made sure we had everything we needed. They gave us great recommendations for restaurants and were always on hand to help with anything. This is a beautiful island . We had so many great meals and there are many sandy beaches to choose from. The villa pool has wonderful views. The rooms are all clean and comfortable and everything was in working order. A car is necessary due to the rural location but it isnt far to shops,restaurants and beaches. All in all a wonderful place.

a splendid stay and a lot souvernirs

We spent the first 15 days of July, 2008 in the villa Dimitri. A true happiness. Of the sun every day. A very nice home and a complete equipment. We could use, with our three children, plaisiers of the superb swimming pool and the garden. The villa is magnificently located. Away from Chania (10 minutes by car) in the village of Platanias. Maintenance is flawless and the delightful and very attentive owners for the guests. It is with a big pleasure that we shall go back to it in future. An address to be recommended.

Peaceful and plenty of room to recharge

We had the most wonderful time at the Villa. I would recommend getting the location sent a head so you can load it as a saved location in GPS. The roads and addresses in general are not well marked. We enjoyed the privacy of the location and 4 bedrooms offered. The 3rd bathroom is designed for accessibility, iso no shower curtain or stall, but the same fixture and water pressure as the other restrooms, so we made full use of it for those in the downstairs bedrooms. The villa was well equipped, we enjoyed breakfasts in, dinners in, and reheating left overs. I got a kick out of introducing my family to the perks of an electric tea kettle for making our iced tea. Having a washing machine and ample layout for hanging clothes to dry was a game changer. We did struggle with the TV and Wi-Fi and Helen offered to come and help us out, we were just running too much to make it a priority. There were games, and books and playing cards, and of course the private pool. With two indoor and out door family areas we all found our own favorite spots for solace after spending time in the car together and exploring the island. It was unanimous that we made the right choice in properties. The welcome of having Helen and Mike’s olive oil, orange cake and rail was a bonus touch we enjoyed through out our stay. I hope to find a reason to return.

La villa è bellissima come presentata. Super plus piscina molto curata sempre pulita dai proprietari. Ci sono ben 6 split dei condizionatori : uno per ogni stanza piu in cucina e in sala . Ottimo il barbeque e la grossa terrazza sopra dove si vive praticanente sempre. La vista è bellissima fino al mare. Ottima ventilazione grazie alla ottima posizione. I propritari sempre molto disponibili e discreti. Ci hanno fatto trovare olio locale e una gustosa torta al benvenuto. Grazie per la splendida vacanza.

Rust en uitzicht

We hebben een fijne vakantie gehad. Het huis is prachtig gelegen en er is volop ruimte. Het zwembad is echt fantastisch en wordt goed bijgehouden. De rust om het huis heen is echt geweldig, wakker worden met de vele fluitende vogels geeft een echt vakantiegevoel.Contact met de eigenaar is prima. Bij onze aankomst stond een heerlijke cake klaar als welkom. Er was ook een fles olijfolie aanwezig.Er zijn wel enkele aanbevelingen:Schoonmaak kan beter.De warmwatervoorziening in het huis is onbetrouwbaar. Je weet niet wanneer warm water in welke badkamer is. Er zijn weinig wijnglazen aanwezig.Voor een huis wat geschikt is voor 8 personen zijn de vaatwasser en de wasmachine erg klein.

Herzlicher Empfang durch die sehr netten Vermieter mit selbstgebackenem Kuchen, Wein und Ölivenöl! Villa ist komplett und modern ausgestattet, sehr sauber und absolut ruhig gelegen. (Auto notwendig). Dazu tolle Aussicht vom großen Balkon und der Terrasse. Super ist auch die Poolanlage - von tiefer Zone (1,80mtr) bis Flachbereich. Wir hatten viel Spaß und einen tollen Urlaub. +++ Warm welcome by the very friendly landlords with home-made cakes, wine and olive oil! The villa is fully and modernly equipped, very clean and in a very quiet location. (Car required). Plus a great view from the large balcony and terrace. The pool area is also great - from the deep zone (1.80 m) to the shallow area. We had a lot of fun and perfect days there!

They place had beautiful views, the pool area was cleaned every second day. They brought us extra towels and offered cleaning service. If we had any problems they attended to them immediately. The villa is perfect for 8 people. We were 10. You must have a car. Walking is not an option. With a car your close to everything.

Vi var syv personer - i alderen 21 til 55 år - i denne helt fantastiske villa. Der var god plads, og det var særdeles hyggeligt. Alt fungerede fint, og pool-området blev benyttet særdeles flittigt. Kommunikationen med Helen og Mike var meget imødekommende, og der var hurtig besvarelse og hjælp, hvis vi var i tvivl om noget. Både villaen, beliggenheden og det søde værtspar kan varmt anbefales til alle, der vil være tæt på naturen - og alligevel ikke ret langt fra bylivet.. Tak for et fantastisk ophold i Villa Dimitri. Peaceful villa in a quiet location.

Lovely typical Cretan villa in a quiet rural location approx 1.5 km from Galatas. Lovely pool and sun terrace. Rooms clean and well proportioned with good a/c in each room. Plenty of space a bathrooms for 8-10 people. Helen is a delight and very welcoming. Would certainly recommend.

Good - beautiful property!

The villa was in a beautiful setting - albeit very steep to get to as we had a large vehicle. Parking and going to and from villa were difficult for us as we had 2 vehicles and neither were small. Helen and Mike were great hosts and we appreciated the homemade items they left for us to enjoy. I can’t give it 5 stars because I was disappointed that the appliances were not in good working order and that the villa was not well stocked. We had hoped to bbq - didn’t see any bbq utensils and didn’t want to have to buy them. The toaster was half broken, the burners on the stove took 20 minutes to get heat, we had to buy toilet paper, dish soap and ask for a cloth or sponge to wash dishes. Little things could have made it better for us. We had planned to eat out for most of the time anyway, but not for breakfast and wanted one dinner night in - just didn’t find the kitchen functional enough to make a proper meal. Our condo in Athens came completely stocked with everything as I feel the villa should have been. With a few tweaks this could be a 5 star! Great location, nice people etc. The pool was great and was cleaned a few times a week by their pool maintenance person so that was great too!
