Rebuilt Captains Home A Couple Blocks From Town Center

All newly renovated and updated

We just completed a top to bottom full renovation of the house. Renovation also included new furniture throughout the space This is not your typical antique in town home, the house was brand new in 2006 and just completed complete update to create an even more luxurious experience for our guests.

The location is ideal for a Nantucket stay. 4 ½ Charter is located on a very quiet side street only a couple blocks from the center of town.

Since the house is new the floorplan is designed for comfortable living with an open layout in the main floor and includes amenities like main a built in audio system which offers sound/music throughout the space, and modern HVAC for comfort. It has three separately furnished spaces: The well appointed kitchen which offers custom built cabinetry, commercial grade appliances, antique pine island, granite and marble surfaces, a dining area with a dining table which can accommodate 8 guests; and a living area with a fireplace, TV, DVD, Stereo system and French doors opening to a new multi level patio with seating and dining areas.

The lower level is the size of a separate cottage with 10 ft ceilings. The space includes: A media room with a 70” plasma HDTV and 7.1 surround system with full theater effects; a large bedroom with a king bed; a bedroom with two twins high speed internet, fax, and printer; and a full bath.

The upstairs has two master suites. Suite 1 has a king bed, sitting area, wall mounted 40” LCD TV, built in audio system, DVD, stereo, full ensuite bath with glass shower and free standing double ended soaking tub. Suite 2 has a king bed, day bed with trundle, wall mounted LCD TV, built in drawers, and a full ensuite bath.

Outside there is recently built multi level patio with a sitting area off the living room and a dining area. Additionally there is an enclosed outdoor shower.

The home is graced with antique wide plank oak flooring, wonderful fixtures and furnishings. Included in the house are highest quality bed linens, gas grill, and every amenity to make your stay on Nantucket a memorable experience.

If you have not been to Nantucket you will discover there is no better place to in the world to spend time then in the heart of the historic district.

Wonderful week in Nantucket

What a special place to stay! Perfect family reunion with our kids and their significant others. The house is beautiful and the pictures are very accurate (although it is bigger in person). They had everything you need right there and in a nice quiet neighborhood but just around the block from town so you can walk to everything. Highly recommend this property and spending some time in Nantucket!

Quintessential Nantucket Cottage

This home is better than we even imagined! It’s so spacious and gorgeously decorated. The sweet spot is the cozy courtyard. The location could not be better- it was so nice to walk to everything in town. The host was quick to respond with any need to we had. I will stay here again!

Fantastic House in Nantucket

This was the best property we have rented in Nantucket. The location is perfect, within walking distance to town and to the beach. The house, both inside and outside, could not be any better.

We really enjoyed our first trip to Nantucket. Robert’s house is super close to Main Street so a quick walk to town—restaurants, shops etc.The layout is great and we really enjoyed the courtyard area. I would recommend getting a car for a couple days to explore the other areas on the island. The kitchen is well stocked and it is easy to cook a couple meals at home. Great restaurants are walking distance. Cheers!

AMAZING STAY!

We had the best week in Nantucket and absolutely loved this house! The floorplan was perfect for our group of 4 adults and 4 children. The house had everything we needed. The location was unbeatable and the host was super responsive with helpful recommendations and answered all of our questions in a timely manner. Highly recommend. Our entire group had a wonderful time and we'd love to stay here again!

Great house close to town

Our family of 5 stayed here and we had a great time. No problem having the teens walk into town, and being able to enjoy amazing restaurants without having to drive was wonderful. The house itself is just like the photos -- clean, modern amenities, and cute. Plenty of room for everyone to have their own space. We loved our trip to Nantucket and we hope to stay here again in the future.

This is the third time we’ve stayed at 4 1/2 Charter. Close to town great home and accommodations the home owner obviously cares and the home reflects that. Nantucket in the winter secluded quiet romantic, dreamy.
