Perfect Stay

We had a fabulous winter stay - we even had some snow! The cottage is very comfortable and cosy. It was lovely and warm and welcoming when we arrived. We appreciated the wood burner and settled down to read our books and admire the views of Beeston Bump. Parking was perfect and it was very easy to walk into Sheringham. We were pleasantly surprised to see so many shops open in Sheringham at this time of year, even on a Sunday. There's lots to do in the area. We'd love to return.

Wonderful Cottage

A wonderful cottage, surprisingly spacious, in a lovely location, only a short walk from the town centre. Although the cottage is near a railway line you are more likely to be disturbed by the sound of the local wildlife than the sound of the trains! We were, however, slightly disappointed that there was no welcome pack on arrival as there has been in all the other cottages we have stayed in lately. As access to the cottage is not permitted until 1600 hrs, and following a long journey, it would have been nice to be able to have a nice cup of tea before venturing out again to fetch supplies (although there is a TESCO nearby). Highly recommended.

Enjoyable stay

Poppy Cottage is just a stones throw from Sheringham town centre, just a 5 minute walk. Situated in a quiet location with views of Beeston Common and the Beeston Bump. Well equipped and cosy cottage, enclosed rear garden. Dog friendly! Would definitely recommend.

Great cottage in fabulous location.

Poppy Cott was a lovely cottage, great location for town and amenities, we did have trouble parking a couple of evenings as there wasn't any space to park. Once we got a parking spot we did tend not to venture out, in case we couldn't park when we got back. Beds we comfortable, bathroom would benefit from some tlc, Modern shower, however the floor tiles are uneven and the ceiling would benefit from a refresh/upvc, also lighting could do with being slightly brighter in there. Kitchen had everything we needed, however pots had been put back dirty so we washed everything before use each time. Outside space lovely, couldn't locate the bbq, lovely to pop washing on line to dry, added bonus of the airer also. Children loved there room, however the could be more clothes storage, had to storage children's clothes in main room wardrobe and drawers, top cupboard was too dusty to store clothes so ended up using the vanity area as clothes shelf for adults non-hanging clothes. Although ample looking wardrobes, very limited in space. Would stay here again for the location to town and beach

Really fantastic light and well positioned small house on Beesten Common.

Just the right location for us, as we know the area very well, Sheringham is a lovely place and the property is ideally located near enough to the shops and other amenities and to enjoy the seafront quite nearby, within a 10 minute easy walk. Would definitely recommend.

Poppy Cott

Poppy Cott was cosy and welcoming. The well-chosen pictures/artwork made it homely. It is in a lovely quiet location - views of the Common and Beeston Bump to the front and well-kept allotments to the back. Parking was easy. It’s an easy walk to both the sea front and the town. A great base for walking the Norfolk Coast Path.

Perfect

The house is within walking distance of the beach, the town, and the railway station, and in a quiet and peaceful location with a lovely view over the common and of Beeston Bump. The house itself is beautifully cosy and very clean and absolutely delightful. The stairs are rather steep, so may perhaps not be right for elderly visitors, but a stairgate is provided for younger guests. I couldn't fault this house; I really enjoyed my stay. Many thanks.

Ideal location

This was a last minute change of accommodation, which actually proved beneficial as the property is within 7 minutes walk of the town, station, seafront, buses, shops etc. Parking was excellent, parked up and left the car using local transport. The cottage is excellent, everything you need, the kitchen was well equipped. The outlook and location was charming facing Beeston Common and Beeston Hill.
