About this property

Northshore Getaway, lake view, private docks. Add'l rental next door #2331962

Our vacation home is located in the peaceful area of Martinez Lake called The Northshore. We have a second rental on same property if you have a large group(#2331962). We have two private docks with a cement ramp that is shared between the two houses: one is 30' by 40' dock and the other is smaller, good for PWC or small boat. Water ski , wake board, jet ski, or tube in Martinez Lake Proper just 200 yards from dock. Beautiful 360 degree views from the patio deck. Lots of parking for cars/boat trailers. Two bedroom, one bath, and enclosed outdoor shower. Each bedroom has a queen bed. Additional 2 twin beds and 2 queen beds in front room. Linens and towels are provided, free WiFi, fridge, mini-fridge, oven/stove, microwave, Smart TV, stereo, dishes, glasses, flatware, pots and pans, toaster, blender, Keurig and traditional coffeemaker. Charcoal and gas BBQ. Holiday weekends are a flat rate of $1800 for 4 nights minimum.

Ideal location

Location is perfect, secluded enough that you have your own space but close enough to everything on the river that you don’t have to drive far. Great for larger groups as there is plenty of beds. Amazing 360 views from rooftop deck. Host is very personable and responsive. Will be booking again!

Great location and house! Walk to dock is a little long but not bad and it’s a quiet beautiful location! Perfect for our needs and love that the owners are so responsive and easy to talk to. Will be staying again. Book it you won’t regret it!

Second time here and can't wait until our third.

Im hesitant to give this place 5 stars, as I don't want everyone else to find out about it and have it be booked the next time we want to stay here. But seriously, we love this home, the lake, the dock, the boat launch, the fire pit, the supplies, AC unit, and the wifi speeds. Thank you for another great getaway for our family.

Great Family Place!

5 stars all around! What a great river house! Quiet and quaint but great location and has everything you need. The private launch ramp was so convenient and the large doc was perfect for two boats and two jet skis as well as hanging out and swimming in the evening. The owners were very responsive and made the check/check out process a breeze. The house had everything you needed and more like games, Netflix, darts, and foosball!

Great Getaway

I was overall impressed with the layout of the house and the size was plenty for my family of 10. The rooftop deck was great for stargazing. My kids loved the outdoor shower! Only downside was the dock was farther than anticipated and the launch ramp had a huge pothole making it difficult for us personally with a small jet boat. Jan was wonderful about communicating.

Very Clean and nice, spacious, communicative owners, good value compared to other rentals, sleeps 10 comfortably. Would stay there again. Only cons, unpaved road to the house, one bathroom and dock not right at property and really not usable because of plant growth. These are not deal breakers though.

It was almost like being at home. Believe when it says all you need is your food. Everything is provided for your convenience. So relaxing and a great time on the river. The house nice, clean and homie. Jan and George thank you for the opportunity to share your home. We loved are time here.

The location is perfect and the home is spacious, clean and comfortable...very well kept/maintained. George and Jan are responsive hosts and made sure we had everything we needed and answered questions promptly. There are a variety of DVDs and games for all ages, and the house is equipped with all the basics for cooking. The water is close enough for a quick swim or to paddle around. The private dock and ramp made heading out to the river a breeze! It's quite which we wanted and the views are amazing. Great star gazing too! We had a great time and will definitely be back to stay again. I highly recommend this location!

Jan has been absolutely amazing! I’ve stayed in her larger property before and finally got the chance to stay at this rental, it was everything I hoped for and more. The home was spotless, beautifully maintained, and had everything we needed to cook, relax, and feel right at home. Talk about the most comfortable sofa for movie night!!! The private dock was an absolute game-changer. We never had to worry about crowded launch ramps or pulling the boat out after a long day. It’s the perfect setup, Especially with the kids! we could go out on the water for a few hours, come back for lunch or nap time with the kids, and then head right back out with zero hassle.The lake itself is incredible for tubing and spending quality time together. Most of the time, it felt like we had the whole river to ourselves, peaceful, easy, and just pure fun. You have a beautiful view of the lake right from the house or even the rooftop if you prefer! We enjoyed our morning, coffee out there, enjoying the view :) The location couldn’t be better: close to the Martinez store and gas right across the lake, yet tucked away enough to feel completely private. You can tell Jan truly cares about every detail and goes above and beyond for her guests.If you’re planning a river trip this is it! This property has everything, well with the price, and gives you those vibes that you hope to feel when you go up to the river. We’ll definitely be back!

Amazing dock, private access, safe, and FAST Internet

My family had an amazing memorial day weekend at the home. Thank you! The Internet was faster and more reliable than I could imagine. I just wish that it worked down at the dock. Next time Im going to bring wifi extenders to get it down there ;) Also, the houses' AC unit was amazing. Was crazy hot outside, but inside the house, an ice cooler--thank you! The dock is better than I imagined. We loaded all of our gear on and in the water and left it out the whole weekend, without any concern of someone stealing it. Also, what I thought was a great perk, was the ability to launch your boat literally right in front of the house. Very convenient. The only thing people should know about, is that there's a short ~100yrd walk to get to the waterfront and dock. The house is positioned on a small hill about 100 yards from the water, so if you have a hard time walking on sand or dirt those distances, you might want to re-think. We did not, we loved it and will definitely be coming back again and again!

Had a great time at the home. Everything you need!

Enjoyed staying here. Has everything you need and is in a quiet location. Home was very comfy and clean. Great views from the home which made it awesome to see the storms that rolled in and out at night! Dock area was cramped between the beached houseboat, jet skis and two other boats and trucks from the other rental home so too tight for us to launch there. It was easiest to use Fishers to launch and drive over. BE AWARE the lagoon has many trees just under the surface so go slow driving in and out! Owner was extremely helpful and professional!!

Another great annual Family trip

Had an amazing time at this property. The roof top patio was the best for 360 views especially during the sunsets. Loved the private boat ramp and private dock that is very large. We will definitely be coming back.

Our family grew up, and lives, in San Diego. We have been vacationing at Martinez lake for over 30 years. When we found this home for sale in 1992, we grabbed it! We have enjoyed boating and water activities in the summer/fall and hiking, 4-wheeling, and home improvements in the winter/spring.

Why they chose this property

This is a very peaceful property located on over 3 acres(home is located on 1 acre) in the private area of the North Shore . It's great for summer and winter activities, plus the added benefit of having private docks, ramp. It's the perfect place to get away from it all!

What makes this property unique

We have another larger home on the same property, Casa Grande(#2331962). Great for when you have the need to rent two homes close to each other.
