Large, Beautiful Family Beach Home in Bethany's Bahama Beach Cottage Community

Ours is a three bedroom, beautifully furnished beach family home with over 3,000 square feet of indoor/outdoor living space in Bahama Beach Cottage Community only a mile from South Bethany guarded beach. The Community boasts 2 ponds as well as access to the Assawoman canal where boating enthusiasts can launch their own boats or small craft. The Bethany boardwalk is less than 2 miles away along with quaint shops and fantastic restaurants.
Not only do we have 3 bedrooms that sleep up to 8 people, we also have 2 full baths plus an extra outdoor shower with changing area. House also has a fully stocked eat-in kitchen, living room plus an EXTRA large family room with high ceiling and extra eating area. There are two decks to this house. One is off of the family and living room and the other is a very large deck space with ceiling fans, eating area with table and chairs as well as a lounge area below the house with gas fireplace. No worries on those rainy days as there is plenty of space for all to find their own spot to read, relax, watch TV, play games and use your laptops. Wifi included.
We are NOT part of the Sea Colony development.
Central Air, Washer and Dryer included.

House was perfect!

We had a wonderful stay at the Bahama cottage in Bethany Beach. Perfect for our family including a 1 year old! Plenty of space, very functional kitchen and lovely outdoor area for hanging outside. We really enjoyed ourselves.

Quiet Beach Neighborhood

We had a great time staying here. Every morning we’d go down to the lower patio and enjoy coffee and talk about the day. We loved the large living room with vaulted ceilings. Was a great space to beat the heat in the evenings. We’ll be renting here again next summer.

My husband and two children had an amazing week in Bethany. The house was super cute and had all the amenities we needed. There was plenty of space and the outdoor area was amazing. We were able to invite other family friends over and sit under the deck in the cozy areas complete with fire pit, swinging chair and dining table to eat at. During the reservation process, the owner was extremely responsive and answered all of our questions. You can tell through her passion and how the home is beautifully decorated, that she take a lot of pride in her beach home. And she should - it was great. We will definitely be back!

AMAZING!

My family and I had a great week! The house was perfect and the street level covered porch was an added relaxing spot! Nice big table to play games! I would highly recommend this place or any of the houses in Bahama Beach Cottages! Quiet community and only a short ride, walk or bike to the beach. The owner was so pleasant to deal with and shared lots of helpful area information. 🙂

My sisters and I rented this property for a long weekend getaway. We were very impressed with the quaintness of the neighborhood and the beautifully decorated home! The online photos of the house were very nice but we were pleased to find that the actual home was much more appealing and extremely well kept. The interior was very comfortable and the perfect size for entertaining a large group, while the outdoors lounging area was perfect for relaxing after a long day. While the property felt as though it was in a quiet setting far away from conveniences, it was actually quite close to the beach as well as shops, the market and convenience stores. The owner was extremely friendly, quick to respond to every question we had, and went well beyond what was expected to accommodate us - THANK YOU for making this trip such a memorable and pleasurable experience!! We truly enjoyed our stay in this lovely home and look forward to staying here again next year!

Beautiful, comfortable beach home

We visited Bethany Beach for the first time in August 2016 and really enjoyed our stay at the house. It was beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. The rooms are very comfortable and inviting. We cooked meals at home and visited the restaurants in town. We enjoyed riding our bikes to the beach and exploring the shops in Bethany. We definitely will visit again!

I grew up in Wilmington and in the summers my family loved going to the Delaware and Maryland beaches. During my college days I moved to Rehoboth in the summers. After having my own family we continued the southern pilgrimage each summer as we rented houses at the beach. Now we chose to buy a house as it will continue to be a place for my family to gather. We chose Bethany because it is such a family friendly vacation spot and we chose Bahama Beach Cottages because of the perfect location!

Why they chose this property

Bahama Beach Cottages are the cutest houses with beautiful colors outside and with the lakes, canal, abundance of flowers as well as the wildlife it is the perfect spot for a relaxing vacation. You can choose to be as active or restful as you like. For the active family you can launch a boat or small watercraft right from the community access. Bike riding seems to also be a way of life for many families whether it's a long bike ride to area waterways or parks or a short ride to the beach or shopping. If your family likes the beach there are choices between a short ride to the state park or even closer, going right into Bethany. Parking in Bethany has become much more convenient with the Parking Phone app that can be used to up your time if you decide to stay longer on the beach. No more running to your car to put quarters in a meter! If you want to run uptown in the morning, you don't even need to pay the meters until 10am. Plenty of time to grab breakfast or do a morning walk on the beach without worrying about the meter.

Graf's Getaway is a unique home in this development due to the large outdoor deck and extra large family room addition on the first floor. The deck has a gas fire-pit for those cool evenings and can still be use on those warm rainy days. For those who love to be out in the sun, the first floor deck is the place for you! We bought this home because it has over 2,000 sq. ft. of room. It gives our older children the space they need to hang with a friend or do a project as they choose. The bedrooms are large and comfortable so if someone wants to retreat early to watch tv or read a book, they have the quiet they need.

What makes this property unique

Bahama Beach Cottages are single family homes, connected by only a storage unit under the house. It is a quiet neighborhood off the main throughway. Only those living in the community would use our roads as there is no access besides the main road coming in. It is across the main street from a wildlife refuge and the canal separates us from other communities. This makes for a peaceful area where you will find children safely able to ride bikes or scooters and owners can walk their dogs. As set apart from the hustle and bustle as we are, we are just a short drive or bike ride from the Bethany Boardwalk. If you like to go out for more excitement, heading south on Rt. 1 you can drive to Fenwick or Ocean City, MD where you will find mini-golf, go-carts, restaurants, boat rentals and the boardwalk. If you are up for amusement park rides you can find them at the pier. Heading north from Bethany, you will find Dewey and Rehoboth. Rehoboth has a fun boardwalk with Amusements, shops and restaurants as well.
