A private paradise in Provence

We had a wonderful stay in Le Beaucet. Pier and Julia were spectacular hosts making our stay easy and perfect. We traveled as 5 adults and a baby and the home was perfect. We used 3 of the 4 bedrooms which were all adorable and very comfortable. They provided a crib for our baby which was incredibly helpful. The property is spectacular, set in a valley amongst incredible rock walls and below the village of Le Beaucet you will find the most charming farm house. The pool and frog pond were wonderful. We had the pleasure of Pier cooking for us twice and the meals and wine were wonderful, not to be missed! The location is quiet but easily accessible by car to the town of St. Diedier, Carpentras, and Pernes les Fontaines within 15 minutes to get everything you might need from a grocery store to quaint markets. We explored from Arles to Chateauneuf du Pape and the Luberon all within an hour and a half of the house. About 30 minutes from Avignon and the TGV. We can’t wait to return again and enjoy more time in Provence!

Eine sehr schöne Unterkunft

Ein sehr schönes und best ausgestattetes Haus mit vielen liebevoll gestalteten Sitzmöglichkeiten im Garten. Wundervolle und ruhige Lage. Vermieter sind sehr nett und ihr Hund ganz besonders. Wir haben es sehr genossen - vielen Dank!

Traditionelles Steinhaus in genialer Lage

Die Kommunikation im Vorfeld hat super geklappt. Auch auf unseren Wunsch, die zwei Hybrid-Autos vor Ort zu laden, ist Frau Tognini sofort eingegangen und hat uns eine Lösung angeboten. Das Steinhaus war sehr angenehm, bei Temperaturen von 38 bis 44 Grad war es im Haus trotzdem angenehm kühl. Das Haus verfügt über 4 Klimaanlagen in drei Schlafzimmern und im Wohnbereich. Leider ist das Stromnetz sehr schwach, speziell auch in Verbindung mit dem Laden der Autos, so dass das Netz zwei mal überlastet war. Dies hat unsere Gastgeber etwas verärgert. Wie gesagt, alles war im Vorfeld abgesprochen... Trotz allem, es war eine schöne Woche mit vielen Erlebnissen und herrlichen Lavendel-Feldern in der Umgebung.

Guten Tag Herr Giessler Herzlichen Dank für Ihr Feedback. Ja, es stimmt, im Vorfeld haben wir alles genau besprochen: Wir hatten vereinbart, dass die Autos in der *Nacht* geladen werden. So waren wir sehr erstaunt, dass Sie die Wagen täglich zwischen 12 und 18 Uhr (zur Mittagshitze) ans Stromnetz angeschlossen haben. Von verärgert kann keine Rede sein – im Gegenteil, wir waren sehr besorgt um unsere Gäste, für die wir alles tun, damit sich alle wohl fühlen. Da tagsüber diverse Geräte wie Klimaanlagen, Geschirrspüler, Waschmaschinen, Pumpen etc. in Betrieb sind, kann es mit zusätzlichen zwei Hybridautos, die zusammen eine bemerkenswerte Menge an Strom ziehen, zu Engpässen führen. Aus diesen sowie aus Kostengründen (Nachttarif kostet die Hälfte) sowie einer Vermeidung einer Überlastung des Hauptstromnetzes, lädt man Autos, Boiler etc. vorteilhaft in der Nacht. Wir hatten Ihnen sogar angeboten, unsere Keller-Kühlanlage in der Nacht abzustellen um eine etwaige Überlastung von vornherein auszuschliessen. Aber Sie haben die Autos ja dann tagsüber geladen. Übrigens haben wir Ihnen keinerlei Stromkosten verrechnet, Nachttarif hin oder her. Ihrer Annahme, das Haus verfüge über eine «schwache Stromleistung», müssen wir – ohne Ihnen zu nahe zu treten – widersprechen. Die Leistung ist für frz. Verhältnisse überdurchschnittlich und entspricht durchaus dt. Verhältnissen. Trotz allem haben wir uns sehr gefreut, Sie und ihre Familie bei uns beherbergen zu dürfen. Wir hoffen, dass Sie trotz den zwei (minimal kurzen) Stromunterbrüchen nachmittags, eine schöne Woche in der Provence hatten. Mit sonnigen Grüssen aus der Provence

Kleines Paradies

Eine idyllische Oase in der Provence, wir konnten uns hier entspannen, genossen den grosszügigen Garten mit Grill und natürlich auch den Pool. Die Ausstattung der Wohnung lässt keine Wünsche offen. Die Vermieter haben uns sehr herzlich empfangen, bei ihnen wird Gastfreundschaft gross geschrieben. Vielen Dank auch für die guten Weinempfehlungen.

Superbe gite dans une région très sympathique

Le gite est très confortable. Chaque chambre a sa propre salle de bain avec wc, ce qui est vraiment très agréable, même avec des enfants petits. Nous avons vraiment apprécié d'y trouver tout le nécessaire (papier toilette, liquide vaisselle, éponge, savon, lessive, sac poubelle, charbon de bois). Cela évite franchement de tout racheter et de se précipiter pour faire les courses dès l'arrivée. La piscine était la plus chaude de l'ensemble de nos vacances, or nous venions d'espagne c'est dire. Les hôtes sont charmants et très accueillants. Merci pour le petit cadeau à l'accueil et au départ. On a adoré la région et le gîte est vraiment superbe.

An idyllic place!

The house is charming, comfortable, and situated in a beautiful valley. The hosts are welcoming, helpful--and great cooks. Perfect for nature lovers, with hiking paths that start on the property. Our daughters loved the frog pond, the swimming pool, and the boule court. Highly recommended!

Great place to stay!

We have stayed 3 nights in this beautifully renovated "Mas"; the owners are warm and helpful, the frog's pond and the sheep made the kids overhappy, the rooms are spacious and confortable, and the neighborhood is gorgeous! I especially recommend to hike from the house to Venasque, 2 hours and so nice!

WE had the best stay!

What a great place to stay, spacious and beautifully renovated old mas. The owners are warm and helpful, and next door. The frogs'pond, the sheep, and swings and the swimming pool made the kids super happy, and the surroundings are stunningly beautiful; we especially recommend the hike that JUlia recommended to us: starting from the house and walking to Venasque (2 hours) Our american friends loved this place and the Provence vacation! I highly recommend this place for your stay.

Week-end Magnifique

Après avoir cherché le lieu idéal pour fêter mes 40ans, nous avons trouvé ce magnifique mas. Le premier contact avec les propriétaires fut très chaleureux et nous avons trouvé que le lieu, magnifique était donc l'endroit qu'il nous fallait. La maison dispose de 4 grandes chambres, très agréables, avec une literie très confortable. La pièce à vivre est grande, bien aménagée, conviviale. Le cadre est splendide, dans un vallon verdoyant, le lieu est calme et reposant. La piscine dont nous n'avons hélas pas pu profiter en avril est grande et sécurisée. Nous avons par contre bien profité du terrain de pétanque. Nous avons donc pu organiser la réception d'une vingtaine de personnes qui s'est déroulée en extérieur, où chacun nous a confié que l'endroit était superbe. Nous tenons à remercier les propriétaires (Catherine et Jean-Michel) dont la convivialité, la discrétion et la bonne humeur n'ont pas d'égal. Sur leurs bons conseils, nous avons mangé d'excellente fraises de Mazan et bu du très bon rosé de StDidier. Sans nul doute nous reviendrons. Johan et Gaëlle

Well equipped house with great sized bedrooms

Our family had a wonderful week in this beautiful old house in Beaucet. Well equipped house with great sized bedrooms. Privacy is not an issue, although there are more residens in the same building. The property is somewhat sheltered from the mistral, and the kids had great pleasure frog pond in addition to the pool. If you live in this area so it's worth take a meal at Auberge du Beaucet, a restaurant that also michelin has noticed. You need a car or bike in this area, or best both. Thank you for the stay.

Gîte magnifique et accueil chaleureux

Gîte très agréable dans un coin de verdure à deux pas du charmant village ancien du Beaucet. La maison est très agréable, fonctionnelle, spacieuse, joliment décorée, fraîche. La jardin est également très agréable. De belles balades à pied sont accessibles facilement. L'accueil est vraiment très chaleureux (merci encore!) et arrangeant avec beaucoup de conseils sur les activités dans le coin. La possibilité de manger en table d'hôte nous a permis de passer une soirée "mieux" qu'au restaurant tout en ayant les enfants à portée d'oreilles! Séjour à renouveler!

Great week in great area with great food

This was the first family vacation in France for us and calls for an 'encore'. We were looking for a small town with character that would allow our kids (ages 6 & 9) to freely roam around and experience a different culture. We clearly found this and much more. Le Beaucet is a beautiful village with many other great spots to visit close by. We spent most of our time outside, but certainly found everything we needed from sleeping arrangements to kitchen materials in the house. The pool was an absolute hit and was also a 'must' to get rid of excess energy and/or body heat. We enjoyed local produce we bought in some of the surrounding villages. I rediscovered French wine (my favorite was a red with the typical mixture of grapes from the Domaine Unhang). Our kids especially loved Lilou (the owner's dog) and are now training our dog to sit using French words. Catherine is a fantastic cook, so take advantage of her skills and enjoy not just the house, the pool, the area, the company but also the products of her culinary skills.
