Hi Graeme I’m sorry to hear you were disappointed with your stay at our home. The parking hadn’t been an issue before with previous guests. My neighbour is entitled to park on his side of the drive and there is also ample road parking in front of the house. .Also with the bathroom which is a Jack and Jill bathroom is mentioned in the advert and can be locked from either bedroom when in use, again this hasnt been an issue before. With regards to the sunbeds , we have replaced them and there are now six new loungers and cushions. There was one of the original ones left after replacing the first three whilst waiting delivery of the other three ,which could still be used with the cushion over but l guess that was your personal choice not to use it at the time but was available to use. The size of the single beds are standard size again, not been an issue before , if needed they could have been put together as a double . You mention the kitchen units with a smell of damp ? I will speak to my property manager to look into this. It is very difficult when you rent your home out to guests as things do get broken and worn. As it’s our home we do try our best to keep it in the best possible condition because it is our home. We have lots of regular guests returning to our home year after year who enjoy their stays at our home. I do hope that the next property you book will be more to your liking Regards Dee

Thank you for your review for your stay at our home. Please see my responses below to the things you mentioned. The sun loungers have all now been replaced, there were a couple with cracks but was advised they were usable with the cushions on, unfortunately, when you rent your home out things do get damaged and broken by guests, as lm sure you can appreciate, we try our upmost to keep the house as well as we can it’s our personal belongings at the end of the day. The pool guys didn’t show which was something out of our control and weren’t happy about either as we are charged for this service, but l was informed that they did go and clean the pool a few days later. With regards to bats and frogs in the pool , in all 7 years we have had our home we haven’t had anyone mention bats before ? But again, it is something we have no control over what wild life falls into the pool. We do supply a pool net so the guests can clear it in between the cleaning. The cutlery you mention reminds you of toy cutlery, they are stainless steel knives and forks purchased from the local shop. Most of the aircon units have been replaced apart from 2, again we have had no mention from other guests that the main bedroom and lounge area take 30 minutes to cool the room as far as we are aware they are working fine and are tested by our property manager before guests arrive. We charge all guests for electric and aircon usage at the property which is stated on the advert. In all the years we haven’t increased our nightly fee at all for 7 years and have kept it the same so we charge for the electric separately. The pool and patio is shared with our neighbour, so we ask out of courtesy that guest don’t go over to their side of the patio and walk around in front of their doors. You have full use of the pool and are able to swim the whole length of it. The jacuzzi doesn’t work that’s why it isn’t mentioned in the advert , this is something we are looking into with our neighbour. Again, we’re sorry you didn’t enjoy your stay at our home as we do have many happy returning guests year after year .

Glad to hear that the aircon was fixed very quickly, l was advised it was working earlier , also the cabinet door fixed as they have never come off before but at least it was fixed quickly. Unfortunately, the electric is expensive there that’s why we made the decision to charge for it separately as guests were going out and leaving it on all day which was very expensive for us, charging the guest has meant l have been able to keep my prices the same for the last five years and not increase the rate With regards to the pillows we haven’t had any comments about them before but will ask Paulette about them Overall glad you had a good time there Regards Dee

Hi Jodie Thank you for your feed back and sorry to hear the mattress wasn’t comfortable for you , that’s the first time l have had this raised, personally, l find the mattress very comfortable when we stay there ourselves and has never been raised as an issue for previous guests.Again, with the sofa some guests are fine with it and some find it a bit low. After receiving your email today about the pool l found out that the pool guys who usually go to clean the pool twice a week had something come up and couldn’t attend unfortunately, if you had raised this at the time the property manager would have arranged for them to come back as soon as possible to clean it .The jacuzzi isn’t working and doesn’t state that it is nor is it mentioned on listing because of this reason Regards Dee

Hi Joanne Thank you for your review , glad you enjoyed your stay at our home . Unfortunately, due to previous guests leaving air con on all day and night and clocking up large electric bills we were advised to charge for this separately which we now do and is stated on the advert otherwise we would charge a higher rate per night This is why we have been able keep the rental price the same for the last five years with no increase . There are plenty of house hold cleaning supply’s at the house in the laundry room that can be used by the guest but it is self catering therefore guest would need to supply somethings themselves.With regards to the towels, there are enough there for the amount of guests , again, you would need to wash them during your stay. On a longer stay than a week as you stayed, the maid would have been in to clean and wash the bedding a change and clean the towels.With regards to the pool lights not working we are currently arranging for them to be replaced , there’s is patio light that can be put on at night so you can see around the grounds and pool area. The water is heated by the solar panels but have always found it warm enough to shower and bath., with regards to the jacuzzi which unfortunately, isn’t working,nor the jets on the bath which is why it’s not mentioned as a feature on the advert.Paynes Bay beach is a @ 20 minute walk down the hill from the house but only 5/7 minute drive by car to all the beach bars, restaurant and shops.
