Beautiful holiday cottages set in quiet rural location close to Edinburgh

Linlithgow cottages are a collection of cottages specifically set out for you to enjoy a comfortable self catering holiday in Scotland. Each cottage is spacious and well laid out, offering good quality furnishings, modern amenities and crisp white linens and towels.

There are two large bedrooms, one with a large double and the other with two singles to comfortably accommodate families and couples alike. An extra bed can be added to the twin room to accommodate a fifth child under 12 if requested. There is one shower/bathroom located on the ground floor.

The kitchen/dining/living area is open plan and airy with patio doors opening onto the private patio area and onto the communal garden where there are picnic benches for guest use. The large leather sofas are comfortable and perfect to relax on after a long day exploring Scotland! The kitchen area has every modern amenity to enable you to cook, make a coffee and wash/dry clothes should you so wish! The dining table is large enough for your group to enjoy your meals together.

With the beautiful historic town of Linlithgow just 1 and a half miles from the cottages and Edinburgh, Glasgow, Stirling, The Kelpies, Loch Lomond. Perthshire and the seaside towns of North Berwick and St Andrews all within a one hour drive of the cottages, we offer the perfect location and setting to enjoy all that Scotland has to offer!

Please note that there are 4 cottages all of a similar layout and decor. Allocation of number of cottage will be confirmed on arrival.

We had a wonderful stay! The cottage was a lovely little gem, beautifully peaceful and so well-equipped with everything we needed. Despite the tranquil setting, it was incredibly convenient for exploring all the local attractions and tourist spots. A perfect base for a relaxing getaway with everything within easy reach. A fantastic cottage, great location to explore the local area and into Edinburgh. Spotlessly clean, very cosy and comfortable and well equipped. Possibly one of the best holiday cottages we have ever rented and stayed in. Thankyou, we will definitely stay again and see more of the wonderful area.

Perfect stay at a well-equipped, clean cottage

We stayed here for five nights as a family with three children. The communication before the stay was excellent, and we quickly found the location. There is a parking lot in front of the house. The cottage is very well equipped and clean, and everything works. We did not have any issues; it was a perfect stay! Many thanks!!!

Our one week stay was wonderful. The cottage was well equipped and very clean so you could immediately feel at home. Great location for many sights and activities nearby. We would definitely recommend the cottage and consider coming back!

A lovely little cottage a few car minutes outside Linlithgow, a nice little town with a famous castle and railway connection to Edinburgh and Glasgow. Very friendly and supporting hosts, always there when we needed help, thank you Sandra and Francesco!

This place is perfect! Clean, beautiful and wonderful location! It’s nearby the golf course, and very easy to get to Edinburgh and Glasgow. Francesco is always friendly and helpful. We had a very good time there and we definitely would come back again!

Fantastic Cottage Getaway

We really enjoyed the cottage and lovely countryside. Cottage is equipped with everything you need to enjoy your stay. Only about 20 minutes from Edinburgh. The town of Linlithgow was very quaint with small shops, eateries and beautiful flowers everywhere. Highly recommend staying at the Linlithgow Holiday Cottages!!

Nice Cottage near by Edinburgh

We had a wonderfull week. Very nice, big and clean cottage wirh garden and everthing you need for spending good days in Scotland. 15 min. to the tram-station for visiting edinburgh. Absolutly recommended

Beautiful Stay

We were so lucky to find this place when our original booking cancelled on us just months before our trip. It was the best thing that could have happened to us. This cottage was so special to us. The backyard reminded me of a scene from Alice in Wonderland when I was little. I loved being able to open the windows and get all the fresh air. The area surrounding the cottage was beautiful and peaceful. We were definitely in our element and enjoyed our time here. One small issue on our second to last night and Francesco immediately took care of it, even though we would have been fine without. We couldn't have been more pleased with our stay. Hoping we can return one day.

Pleasant stay.

Booking and contact with the owner straightforward and helpful. Property was easy to find but passing through the neighbouring property and associated 'clutter' to reach the gate to our stay was quite off putting but not of your making, an unfortunate arrival issue. Once inside the gate to these properties all is as described and fine. Milk and biscuits on arrival are a nice touch. The property was very clean indeed, better than most. Nice area to sit outside but that wouldn't have been so calm and peaceful if all the properties were being used. Bathroom facility was somewhat limited but ok as only the two of us staying. Had it been four people a room of that size with only a small ventilation fan might have been less pleasant. The shower sadly was not adequate, the water was hot enough but the pressure so low it was difficult to get wet! Some instructions on using the heating and appliances would have been appreciated - yes we could have contacted the owner but we don't need that hassle on holiday - just a quick written instruction will suffice. An example is the markings on the oven facilities are so worn you can't read them and hence is was trial and error when it came to cooking. Those minor issues apart we sleep well, great covered parking right outside and so handy for town, trains to Edinburgh and attractions in the wider area. Thank you.
