Beautiful Place with Great View!

We had a wonderful and comfortable stay. Everything was taken care of and smooth. Perfect location in Mont Vernon very close to restaurants, shops, and sightseeing spots!

We had a fabulous stay at this location. The view every morning looking out at the ocean and the beach was breathtaking and from being met by our host at the airport until we sadly had to leave it was just wonderful.We are already talking about another visit.

The best beach in the island is orient beach and the appartment is on north side of the beach. 15 min walk to the best restaurants in French side. No security issue. Very nice swimming pool. Beutiful view from balcony.

Perfect vacation

I stayed for 2 weeks and everything was great from start to finish. Checking in was easy, Christian was very helpful and showed me everything about the suite and the ammenities. The room has great views of the beach and the sunrise. It is calm and peaceful but only a short walk down the beach to all of the bars and restaurants.

North Orient Bay

Stay in a first floor studio on a grassy bluff overlooking the sea. Short walk down the bluff to pool and long sandy beach 1 km walk down the beach to many restaurants and a few convenience stores 3 km drive to large grocery Christian and Chantal were attentive and helpful hosts Invaluable advice on cars, diving, shopping and attractions Stayed for 18 nights. Hard to leave. Already making plans to return.

Saint Martin

Location is absolutely perfect with balcony/deck opening directly out to the ocean and Orient Beach.; Christain and Cahntel were excellent hosts and stayed in touch to make sure we had what we needed. Very receptive to minor comments about things in the unit. Unit as a whole very good, although some aspects could use a little upgrading and modernizing. I would certainly stay there again if returng to St Martin.

The long way to the room

The unit is located on top of the hill.Car access to the room was limited and difficult.Very steep and long steps up and down outside,and inside two flights down to the room. The room was spacious but the kitchen was tiny, there was no place to put a cutting board.The beach was very rough and felt isolated and deserted.

Deceiving description

The apartment and view were beautiful however the description of being just steps from the beach was as far from correct!! There are 80-90 steps (deep 2-3 feet) to the b arch or pool plus many hills and we had to walk up 3 flight of steps to get out to parking lot. We are 72 and 77 and it was just too much ch!! We stayed the first night because we were exhausted and checked out early the next morning with no refund from the hotel or VRBO!!!

This was a great property with a great view and quicker access to the beach than most other places. Be aware that there is a lot of walking on hills and steps if you choose this location. If you rent a car, the parking is absolutely horrible. I'm not a fan of roaches so that was distracting to me sleeping but it's an island so not out of the ordinary. Our host, Christian, was helpful and kind. We essentially only needed the condo for showering, sleeping and storing our clothes so this was all okay. The view made everything else better.

My wife and I stayed at this vacation rental last week and it was awesome!! When we arrived Christian the owner greeted us to help with our luggage. He took us to the Condo/ apartment and explained everthing that we needed to know. He provided us with a map and showed us location of other beaches, restaurants and activities. Christian was very helpful and made us feel very comfortable. Christian’s wife Chantel made us some crepes and they were delicious! We opened the back sliding door and could see the beach and watched a beautiful sunrise every morning! Orient beach was a very short walk out the back door. We went to several beaches in St Martin but Orient beach just outside the back door was by far the best beach in St Martin! There are several restaurants and bars right on the beach which was a very short walk from our vacation rental. We had a lot of fun during our stay here!! I would highly recommend staying here at Christian’s vacation rental condo!! Darryl

Property still suffering the affects of last hurricane Tennis on site but it’s not usable No Umbrellas or beach loungers on beach - no umbrellas at pool (not good if you’re very white and burn) Sliding door had a broken lock which property owner knew about (he did cut some wood to secure it for me after I complained) Little grocery shop on site - very nice ladies Big grocery store is just up the street - great selection Unit was clean and bed was comfy Kitchen is functional - but can’t read symbols on oven - using it was guess work - stove top was good Beach is very beautiful and you can walk along beach to bars with umbrellas (10min walk) and must buy drinks or food to use umbrellas but great atmosphere at the bar

Beautiful ocean view, walk barefoot to beach, gorgeous heated pool

Hosts extremely friendly with lots of advice about local services and attractions. Stone/sand path from rear to beach, with outdoor footwash and shower. Pool has shallow kiddie area and classy lights for night swimming. Beach towels, chairs, umbrella provided. Kitchen suitable for cooking, baking, or leftovers. Pastry shops, pizza, and grocery stores nearby; we enjoyed eating on the patio. (Store food packaged to avoid ants.) Parking is hilly walk at least a few buildings away, either in the unpaved far parking lot (can be muddy), hoping for a spot in the near parking lot, or squeezing in roadside (possibly driving over a curb). Roads between Residence Mont Vernon buildings (blue roofs on Google Maps, former Hotel Mont Vernon) are closed to traffic. Complex is patrolled and quiet other than crashing waves. Unit is in ocean-front building 3, ground floor. Residential neighbors are friendly and mostly French locals; some leave apt. doors open at night to let the constant tropical breeze run through. There are no screens on doors or rear window, so we stuck with the A/C, which made sleeping in the warm, humid climate very nice. Left the storm/security gate open to wake up to tropical sunlight despite the very occasional passer-by on the front path and only having sheer curtains. Near end of Orient Beach has plenty of space; far end (30 min walk) is sheltered from waves and occasional seaweed and has food and bars and nudists. Semi-gated neighborhood is called Mont Vernon 1.

An absolutely stunning ocean view awaits you! The bed is also very comfortable and bedding is great. The hosts are very kind and respond very quickly to any requests you might have. The appartement is in a very safe residence and a great area. There’s also a beautiful brand new pool for the residents right on the beach. There are a few opportunities to mention. First, I found that for the price the amenities were lacking. We were disappointed to find no toilet paper, no paper towels, and a dirty old sponge to wash the dishes. We were informed it was an oversight from the cleaning lady and the hosts brought us some asap. We had a fair bit of ants which required us to vacuum daily. Again once the hosts were informed they fumigated asap. Lastly, the pans are old and scratched up and the appartement is not adequate for much cooking. We only made coffee and light breakfasts which was really all that was possible. There’s also no warm/hot water to wash your dishes. Lastly, what was most important for us was a beach and we had asked the hosts a few days before if there was seaweed and they informed us it gets picked up daily. It does get removed, that said the beach was unswimmable as the ocean is full of seaweeds in this area. In order to swim you must walk down about 8 mins on the beach towards orient bay. During our entire week in St-Martin, we went to several beaches and this one was by far the worse when it comes to seaweed in the ocean making it impossible to enjoy or swim.

There are several reasons why this apartment always gets excellent reviews. It is spectacular and memorable. Foremost, it is mere steps away from the most beautiful beach in St. Martin. The beach is nothing but cool, white, powdery sand, with a little seaweed that is removed on a regular basis. The bay is majestic, and filled with sailboats, parasailers, and an occasional fisherman standing on a rock at the shoreline. In the background are lush, high hills, covered in greenery. And from the apartment, one can walk at least a half a mile without encountering another human being. It is truly paradise. Adding significantly to the desirability of this apartment is the graciousness of Chantal and Christian, the hosts. In our case, Christian was available everytime we needed anything. He put us in touch with a taxi driven by a reliable and lovely woman who lived nearby. He arranged for us to rent what may have been the last available car rental on the island. And, most importantly, we had a medical emergency, and Christian was at our door in minutes to drive us to a nearby doctor, who was wonderful. By the time we left, we felt like we had made a new, big-hearted friend. And if all that isn't enough to convince you, there is a small market, also steps away, to which fresh baguettes and French pastries are delivered every morning. Everything about this apartment was perfect, and we can't wait to go back!

Wonderful time

Although it was sad to see the devastation caused by Hurricane Irma the island is still a beautiful place to visit. The people are resilient and are working to rebuild. The property is located very close to the beach with a wonderful view. Chantal, though having to deal with her son’s medical issues, was very helpful. She was very quick to respond to any questions we had to insure we were comfortable and enjoyed our stay. During our travels around the island we encountered so many great people. Everyone is very friendly and will not hesitate to help you find your way around or suggest sights to see and activities. There are many nice restaurants nearby from fine dining to casual. We found so many great food stops in Grand Case covering all spectrums of cuisine it was hard to choose. In a nutshell; if you’re looking for a place to visit with many wonderful people and more things to do than you can possibly imagine you can find it here. Thanks Chantal and we hope that your son is doing better.

Great quiet condo right on the beach with amazing views

Great unit with breathtaking views. Bring directionally challenged i did have a hard time finding the unit but once we found it no problem! The owners had a family medical emergency out of the country but were always readily available by email. Coming from USA we were thrilled they had converter outlets so our electronics all worked. Great WiFi. Very secure unit with double lock but honestly the place seemed very safe. We read about theft etcon the island but had zero problems. I even left my Louis Vuitton bag in the car by accident for days 🤦🏻‍♀️ And no one bothered it. The assigned parking spot was fabulous never had to worry about parking. I would definitely come back. Oh and the AC works great! So well i wish they’d had an extra blanket ( my fiancé thought it felt great. I got cold) not a bad problem in the islands😘.
