Olympic NP Home
Very spacious, comfortable home close to the park and Port Angeles.
We enjoyed our stay here. We loved spending time outside on the deck surrounded by the trees and watching the deer - very peaceful and secluded. A great spot close to the park.
The house was clean, pleasant and accommodated the group perfectly. The location worked out very well for us.

Beautiful home in the woods
We stayed here for the second of our two week family (2 adults, 3 children) trip. House is beautiful and well equipped. We appreciated the quiet and the space to spread out. Everything was clean and there was plenty of kitchen gear to make meals with. The nuts and coffee were nice extra touches!

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication
Underwhelmed, overpriced
Nice:
King bed, very comfortable
Master bath updated, good shower
Book collection & native art
Plenty of parking space
Quiet neighborhood
Not pleasing:
No views of water or mountains
Unappealing deck with uncomfortable outside furniture
Remote from town
Request that we not wear shoes in the house.
Cost was unwarranted, compared with the prior 3 nights in updated, lovely, view abundant, lakeside (40% less expensive) VRBO near Gig Harbor.

Rocky start
I asked for early check in at 3 instead of 4, but no go, even tho it was obvious that no one was there and the house was ready. When we did get in, there was no power in the house! Meaning no hot water, no internet etc! Finally got in touch with someone who said they would put in a call to the power company! Power came on shortly after that, luckily.
Kitchen stove top had not been cleaned. Counters grubby and gritty.
Other rooms fine. Overall, house very nicely appointed, but bad beginning.

We always strive to provide a pleasant experience for our guests upon their arrival and we are sorry yours was a bit bumpy. We apologize for any aspect of our check-in time that detracted from your experience with us and regret that there was a power outage when you arrived. Thank you for your feedback about some cleaning details being missed, we have relayed this to the local team. We are very pleased to know you found the home well appointed and enjoyed the rest of your stay. Thank you for being our guest!
Overall we enjoyed our stay at this house. A specific concern we had were the two bathrooms. First, they were located next to each other, not where bedrooms #2 ad #3 are located. Small matter. Another concern: it was tricky to adjust cold water with hot water in the shower. We had to learn to start with a small trickle of cold water, then add in the hot water, both faucets turning inward, toward each other. The cold water faucet seemed to endlessly turn to the right. Again, small matter. Finally, the water coming out of the shower had an odd smell, as if chemically treated. Separate from the showers, we had to learn how to use the tv and realize that we could not access some of the familiar channels, e.g. Netflix, Amazon, etc.
Overall, however, a quiet retreat located just outside of town.

John, thank you for sharing your feedback, we're pleased you enjoyed your stay! We shared your feedback with the local manager so the issues you mentioned can be addressed. They noted that water is coming from a well so occasionally there is an odor depending on minerals in the ground. This information is noted in the guest notes. They will check on the temps of the water and we appreciate your feedback. We enjoyed having you as our guest and hope to host you again.

Restful and close to attractions
Secluded but very close to entrance to Olympic National Park. Ten minutes gets you down to the waterfront. House is fully stocked and very clean. Quiet and lovely. The owners' collection of Northwest tribal art adds a special touch. Will reserve again!
Wonderful place--the hosts provided everything you need for a great vacation. Thoughtful bottles of shampoo for those flying in, coffee, filters...and for everything else, Safeway is just a five minute drive. Beautiful quiet deep woods surrounding, and perfectly located for access to all the Olympic peninsula activities. Check out the lovely Kokopelli Grill, hard pass on the disappointing and understaffed Salty Girls. Great birthday-vacation week, we'd come back anytime!

Beautiful and comfortable home
The house had everything we needed. It was beautiful and spacious and on a quiet, wooded lot only minutes from town and the park entrance.
This place is amazing! It was clean and neat. The property is absolutely beautiful. We truly enjoyed the board games available. The master bathroom is gorgeous, the bed are comfortable. Fabulous property - we can't wait to come back.

Good property and location hampered by poor temperature control.
Great location and great house. Our state was hampered by a setback thermostat that would not allow us to change the temperature to less than 75°. This allows the air inside the house to be very humid and uncomfortable. This limitation plague destroying our entire stay. Also, the dishwasher did not work.

Tom, thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We're pleased that you thought our home was great and that you enjoyed its location. That said, we regret hearing that not being able to lower the thermostat to less than 75 degrees detracted from your stay. Additionally, we apologize that the dishwasher was not working properly and we're glad to note that it is in good working order now. We hope to have the opportunity to host you again.
Just outside of town it's in an amazing location as a jumping off spot to explore the park. Port Angeles is a great town and everyone we met was very nice and helpful
