However, A CAR IS NOT NECESSARY if you are staying in Parque da Corcovada, as it is well placed in the centre of the town, with good public transport available to elsewhere in the Algarve. Ubers and taxis are reasonably priced. Walking into Old Town only takes 15 mins.
