It’s impossible to say how wonderful this cottage is. The owners send very helpful information beforehand and go above and beyond with communication and helpful advice. The cottage is kept beautifully and is exceptionally located. It is so comfortable and well equipped. Cannot say enough about this fabulous place!

We stayed here for 10 days earlier this month and it was absolutely perfect. John & Sarah provided plenty of information and advice pre-arrival and so we had a seamless experience.Local pubs were great, the walks from here were stunning and our dog Ivy also had her best holiday ever. We can’t recommend this beautiful cottage enough and you can see why the visitors book is full of repeat visitors - we’ll be adding to those numbers in the future. Many thanks, Andrew & Kat

Amazing stay

This property, and its location, is amazing. Check in was a breeze and the property was exactly as described. The village of Ashford-in-the-Water is also lovely, and the cottage sits next to a cafe and a pub. Ashford is ideally located for exploring much of the Peak District, whether by car, foot or bike. There is also a bus service which passes through the village. All rooms are immaculately cleaned and decorated and furnished to a high standard. This is a really stand-out property and I have no hesitation in recommending it to others.

Thanks David, glad you enjoyed your weekend of relaxation, cycling and hiking. We always like feedback and you did tell me elsewhere that you had a good meal in the Bull's Head pub in the village which is great to know. We look forward to your next visit and hope you'll have time then to visit the brilliant teashop next door!

Catherine Cottage

The cottage is beautiful, spotlessly clean and has everything you could need for your stay. It is surprisingly spacious a bit like the TARDIS from the outside. The village is gorgeous and the people are friendly. It's a great base for walking and having a tea rooms next door is an amazing bonus. The road outside can be quite busy and the vehicles drive surprisingly fast for a rural village but we guess this is just 21st century living! Thank you for a lovely week!
