Fantastic time! Far eniugh away from the road to have a real rural feel, but close enough to Toby's Carvery, Monk's Cross, or a 10 minute drive/taxi into York centre. Perfect for a weekend away with friends or family. The owner, John, was very welcoming and then left us to enjoy the rest of our stay. Cutlery, pots, dishes to cook with and even beakers for young children.

The cottage is lovely.

The cottage is lovely. We didn’t use the hot tub or sauna but nice to have this as an option. The location is fabulous. Across the road is the toby carvery. Nice for a drink and food if wanted. Close by is the park n ride. We used the shops there as we didn’t think it was sensible to use it and walk to and from the accommodation as there was a grass verge rather than a path to walk along (as far as we could make out when driving beside it) we also used and uber to and from york city centre. It cost less than £8. Would come back again.

This was a lovely stay with good facilities and very clean, a little hard to find (easy to miss the turning, could do with a bigger sign post not hidden by the hedge). We had to cut our stay short due to a car accident, but would love to go back again.

Cottage was nice.

Cottage was nice. In a lovely location but you do need a car to get around. Bus service into York is limite And taxi cost £15. For me the cottage has promise. The games room and Jacuzzi area are very outdated and just need tlc. The pool table is too big for the space, there are no darts and you can't get around the air hockey table. In the cottage, The bed mattresses need replacing and there is no information about services like taxis, takeaways or nearby services. The lovely big playing field needs new football nets, balls and outdoor games. For me, it was a shame, the place has so much potential. We enjoyed our week but I have paid less for better facilities.

A great place to stay and ideally located for the City of York and the surrounding areas.

A great place to stay and ideally located for the City of York and the surrounding areas. The property is huge, very cosy and welcoming. It's one of those rare places that makes me think "I wish that this was my house" as soon as I walked into it. Yes it's a little worn here and there but in the overall scheme of things these little areas can be ignored. The owner, who lives on site, warmly welcomed us with a tour of the cottage and the other facilities available at the location. The "welcome package" was also a nice touch. So, if you want a cosy, comfortable place to stay close to York to make travelling no problem but far enough away to be relaxing then this is for you.

The cottage was well stocked and there was a welcome pack which was very handy. The beds were comfortable and plenty of towels for the hot tub and showers etc. Everything was spotless and the owners had thought of everything to make the stay comfortable. The hot tub was very welcome after a long journey. We were only there for 2 nights but would like a longer stay and to explore the area more. The Toby Carvery is brilliant for breakfast and there is a retail outlet quite close with lots of restaurants for all tastes.

A lovely farm location and only 5 minutes away from the York Park-and-Ride, so very convenient.

A lovely farm location and only 5 minutes away from the York Park-and-Ride, so very convenient. The farm house is spacious but cosy and welcoming. The Xmas tree in the lounge was a lovely touch, as the night were very dark early and the Xmas lights of 3 deer and gifts on the lawn, immediately outside the back door were delightful. A lovely stay and many thanks to team who made this possible.

Great cottage! Really cosy and nicely set up.

Great cottage! Really cosy and nicely set up. Cottage is in a nice peaceful area yet not far off from York Centre. The owner is lovely and so helpful. Bread, tea, coffee all waiting on your arrival. The Hottub, Sauna and the games room a bonus! Will be back again soon.

The cottage is a bit dated and could do with a spruce up.

The cottage is a bit dated and could do with a spruce up. The beds are comfortable and the bathrooms clean, although the kitchen cupboards and pans/oven trays needed a clean. I was there with 5 friends (50+) so we just got stuck in and cleaned what we wanted to use. The downside is the elderly owners house is next door and his family go round several times a day and each time they passed by the granary they looked in the windows! Only a couple of miles outside of York centre and across the street from a Toby carvery. Very quiet and relaxing
