Fishergate Postern Tower is worth a visit, built between 1504 and 1507 and is a superb Grade 1 listed tower at the end of a section of York's medieval walls.It is also just a couple of minutes from river walks and cruises and from the award winning Bishopthorpe Road, known as the Notting Hill of the North with all of its shops, delis, restaurants and welcoming atmosphere.
