This cottage is all about the view! What an amazing location.
This cottage is all about the view! What an amazing location. We loved sitting on the patio and in the sun soaking up the beautiful view. The cottage was just what we needed. Very comfortable beds. There were a few things in the cottage that needed some maintenance, which would improve the overall experience, but all in all a great stay.

This beautiful cottage, set in the tiny hamlet of Dean, Cotswolds, is all you could want for a relax
This beautiful cottage, set in the tiny hamlet of Dean, Cotswolds, is all you could want for a relaxing break. Easy access to cottage with key safe so no waiting for owner to let you in. Large enough to sleep 4 people comfortably, it is spacious enough so you’re not tripping over each other yet small enough to be cosy. It has all the equipment needed to be self sufficient and has a beautiful log burner, along with central heating, keeping the place lovely and warm. The bedrooms are large (the main one with stunning views over the countryside) and the beds very comfortable. The area is perfect for long dog walks although a tad out of the way for any local amenities (you’d need a car to get around). Most of the main tourist attractions (Bourton on the water, stow on the wold) are about 20 - 30 minutes drive away and well worth the visit. I would definitely recommend this cottage for either a family break or a girly weekend away.

Great little find, cosy cottage with a lovely little garden to the rear.
Great little find, cosy cottage with a lovely little garden to the rear. Not far from Chipping Norton.
Sat nat struggled to find it (as did the local
curry take away!) but otherwise a good base for going off to see other parts of the Cotswolds.
The owner was friendly and helpful and the beds comfortable. The wooden fire made it all that bit cosier on an autumnal weekend away.
(The telly could do with changing to a smart tv is my only thought!)

We had a lovely time despite the awful weather.
We had a lovely time despite the awful weather. The spot was lovely and the access to walks via a gate from the garden was ideal for dog walking. The cottage was equipped with everything we needed and the beds were comfortable. We found the layout of the living room a little uncomfortable though. The white sofa was very low backed and offered no support. We felt that if the tv was positioned on a cabinet under the stairs the overall feel of the room would have been more comfortable. The log burner was lovely and we couldn't fault the cottage on a whole.

A wonderful week at the cottage, we didnt want to come home.
A wonderful week at the cottage, we didnt want to come home. Views to die for, very comfortable beds and sofas. Only drawback was a too small fridge and limited freezer space for 4 people.
It was so relaxing to sit outside, watch the horses and listen to the birds, not forgetting the burble of water from owners pond.

What a lovely cottage, in the middle of 3 in a row.
What a lovely cottage, in the middle of 3 in a row.
Currently scaffolding making the parking slightly awkward, but still room for 2 cars. A little car parking shuffling needed if last cottage has more than 1 car while occupied.
The cottage, up 2 large steps and you are into the kitchen- sitting room.
The kitchen is well equipped, with dishwasher, washing machine, microwave and electric oven. Good quality cookware and plenty of it too.
Plenty of storage, and easy to clean flagstone floor.
3 sofas in the sitting room part, 2 leather ( one being a pull out bed, which we didn't realise until last day) and 1 white fabric. All very comfy.
Marvelous woodburner, to keep you toasty warm in the chilly evenings.
Back door into the garden was a little stiff ( owner has been informed) but caused no issues, the garden is a pleasant size, with a little gate leading into a field with horses in, where the public footpath leads into the woods or back into Dean.
From the sitting room the first flights of stairs lead to the double bedroom, very large room, with a very comfy bed. Lovely views across the fields.
The next room is the bathroom, where there is a bath ( heavenly) shower and WC. The views from this room are lovely too.
Up the next flight of stairs to the twin room, which also has a sofa bed. Ideally the top step could do with something to highlight that it's the last, with all the flooring being wood it's slightly difficult to judge that last step, I should have just turned on the light, but didn't want to wake my brother.
There's a large TV and DVD player with loads of dvds on the books shelves, as well as plenty of books too in the room.
The twin beds were also very comfy, and all the bed linen was of very good quality, and the duvets were lovely and warm.
Ceiling windows were a treat for star gazing! Very clear sky's for this too.
Could do with a recycling guide as completely different form ours, and unsure what when where. Also perhaps a larger food waste bin, as last cottage filled this bin, and we took food waste home, as too full to use.
Big thumbs up, overall very comfy cottage.

Weather was not good so everywhere was muddy, wet and muddy again.
Weather was not good so everywhere was muddy, wet and muddy again. To make matters worse contractors were digging the road up through the village for broadband. The cottage was just beyond the road works and could not get through. Diversion to approach the village from the other end was a 3-4 miles. The scenery was grand and in the summer it would idyllic.

Great location for walks and a lovely cafe and pub just under a mile's walk away. Cottage is lovely, comfortable and well equipped with beautiful views. Bit tricky to access parking if you have a big car because of scaffolding on adjacent building, but once this is down that won't be a problem.

Very cosy and comfortable rural retreat.
Very cosy and comfortable rural retreat. If it's peace and quiet you're after this is the place for you. Rear garden is enclosed, and safe for pets, and looks over a livestock field sloping towards a small valley. No amenities in Dean itself but nearby Chadlington has pub, cafe and fantastic deli & butchers. Only word of caution is there are two high steps to front door and narrow stairs to 2nd floor in property; could pose a problem for someone with limited mobility. Otherwise, would highly recommend.
