No smoking.. Rosehip Cottage is a Victorian stone-built terraced cottage situated within a gentle stroll from the many facilities available within the historic town of Alnwick. This charming property has undergone a full makeover and offers welcoming accommodation in this popular market town. The lounge/diner has exposed floorboards and high ceilings and the smart kitchen leads to a small, but private patio area where there is outdoor seating. Both bedrooms and the fresh bathroom are immaculately presented too.



There is a wide array of amenities including a cinema/playhouse, restaurants, independent shops and a variety of pubs all within easy walking distance of Rosehip Cottage. Alnwick Castle, home to the Duke of Northumberland and film location for Harry Potter’s Hogwarts, is a popular visitor attraction or visit the Alnwick Gardens, a spectacular interpretations of a formal garden, including a grand cascade waterfall and poison garden where guests can dine in the restaurant of the largest tree house in Europe!

Lovely cottage! Four adults we spent three nights there.

Lovely cottage! Four adults we spent three nights there. It had everything we needed. There was a good feeling to this place. The sofas and beds were very comfortable. Very clean. We couldn't fault it. We would definitely recommend as we would go back and stay again ourselves. The only reason I gave the location a four and not a five was because the street sloped up to the house which my husband did struggle a bit with as he does have an health issue with his legs, but there is nothing the owner can do about that. There is so much to do around the area, Alnwick castle is just a short walk and very good. Holy Island 35 minutes drive.

A lovely place to stay and the small private courtyard is ideal for a cheeky BBQ.

Well equipped and located just a few minutes troll from town centre, it's an ideal base for exploring beautiful Northumbria and its stunning coastline. This is our second stay at Rosehip Cottage.

This is our second stay at Rosehip Cottage. The lovely cottage is comfortable, warm & very well equipped. A suggestion I would make is maybe a dark roller blind or darker curtains in the second bedroom to avoid early awakening in the light summer mornings. We hope to stay again in the near future.
