It lies within the centre of Grassington, which has a wide selection of country shops, pubs and restaurants, and makes an ideal base from which to walk or tour the wonderful Yorkshire Dales National Park. In June Grassington plays host to a Music and Arts Festival which draws a wide variety of well known performers and in September Grassington hosts a 1940’s weekend. December brings the Christmas market to the village. The bustling market town of Skipton with its Norman castle, canal trips and golf course can be reached within 10 miles. Nearby there are pubs, restaurants, coffee shops and individual shops selling a wide variety of local treasures, as well as a post office and supermarket and a bus service to get you back. Alternatively, for those who enjoy a spa experience, Long Ashes, 1.5miles away, offers an indoor swimming pool and beauty therapy. National Trust properties and sites are a short drive away.
