Great place for a special get-together

We booked this cottage because we love the area. It's like a mini-Highlands and just fifty minutes past Carlisle. Our youngest son was turning 21 so together with his three siblings and spouses, the eight of us all got together for a most memorable weekend. Long walks with our labradors and playing board games together, the house had everything we needed to relax straight away. The house was very clean and had been furnished to a very high standard but so that it felt like home not a hotel. The kitchen was well equipped and the owners had even left us some wine and a box of biscuits to welcome us. We certainly hope to be back; now whose birthday is next...................
