Family Holiday in a cottage in a great location

A great base to explore Scotland's central belt from. The property itself was quiet (in a lovely rural location), clean and comfortable, and had everythign we needed.

This was our 3rd time staying in Fernwoodlea and it never disappoints.

This was our 3rd time staying in Fernwoodlea and it never disappoints. Always clean and warm, we feel at home as soon as we walk in. This is where you'd normally write "but" or "the only downside is", but I genuinely don't have any!If you're wanting a base to see Fife, you will not go far wrong booking here.

We had a lovely, relaxing week at Fernwoodlea.

We had a lovely, relaxing week at Fernwoodlea. The owners were really friendly and the fresh flowers and welcome goodies were an unexpected treat. The property was cosy and there was always plenty of piping hot water. Our dog loved the secure garden and the novelty of running circuits round the house. We loved the peacefulness and the night skies. The location is ideal as it feels secluded but is within easy reach of many attractions and amenities.

Mother daughter getaway

The rooms were big, garden good for our dog, but we kept her on her long lead, as she could get under the main gate. Don't follow the sat nav for directions at end point as it will take you the rough road round. Our own fault, owner gave directions before hand. Keep following the the road past the pethotel. Keeping it to your right, and it will swing round to fernlea cottage. Villages and nice walking very close by. Although you feel nice a secluded. We would stay here again. There was only 2 of us, but there is easily enough room for 4 without feeling like your on top of one another.
