Get away from it all
Nice cosy cottage in a lovely village in the heart of the Dales with beautiful scenery all round and plenty of enjoyable walks. We even had a pub with great beer and food on our doorstep. The cottage was clean, the kitchen was adequately equipped . Plenty of space for 4 ( we were just 2). Only downside was TV reception was awful, although we didn’t use it much, but I missed half of the England rugby game . I have contacted letting agents regarding TV. But overall a great week , and certainly we would consider taking a break at this cottage again.

The cottage is well situated in Gunnerside and has a very interesting layout.
The cottage is well situated in Gunnerside and has a very interesting layout. The cottage provides what is essential and is comfortable. The bathroom and kitchen could do with a refresh but they are both perfectly adequate. The Owner lives next door and was very welcoming and helpful. We had a lovely weekend and would be happy to stay there for a longer period. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Looking for an ideal base to walk, mountain bike and explore the Dales, we stumbled across this cottage on the website. What stood out was the wonderful care we received from the owner of the cottage, Mrs Calvert. She could not have been more welcoming and helpful. The accommodation is a traditional stone cottage in the picturesque hamlet of Gunnerside. It may not have all the latest mod cons but it is clean, well equipped and large enough for a couple and their two children. The tea shop next door, run by the hosts, serves fantastic scones and is well worth a pit stop. The local pub, has been taken over by the locals and is a great place to get a lovely drink and a simple bit to eat. The puddings are worth the wait.
