Courtyard with sitting-out area and garden furniture. On-road parking, 75 yards. No smoking. . Excellent base for exploring Peak District. A traditional stone detached cottage, situated on a main road near the River Derwent, just ½ miles from the Peak National Park, it opens the door to miles of spectacular scenery and walks, whilst being just 3 miles from Matlock with the Heights of Abraham and Gulliver’s Kingdom. There are 2 friendly pubs in the village both serving food and the Peak Rail and Redhouse Horse and Carriage Museum are within ½ miles. Bakewell is 6 miles with Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall an easy drive. There are water sports at Carsington Water, pot holing at Castleton, Go Ape adventure course and Alton Towers within easy reach. Shops and restaurant 900 yards, pubs 75 yards.
