About the host
Hosted by Rachel & Yom

I am from Australia and married to a Peruvian, we built the guesthouse in 2012 and we are now living permanently in Cusco, Peru with our two young children. My husband is a qualified, experienced adventure tour guide, ask him all about everything to see and do in the area - he loves it! I work from home so am usually close by to assist with any questions or requests. We love meeting people from all around the globe, hearing their stories and sharing what we love about this part of the world.
Why they chose this property
We enjoy living in the community of Sencca as we believe it gives us the best of both worlds. The peace, space and neighborly familiarity of the country with access to basic groceries at the local store, but being close enough to the city to dine at nice restaurants, go to the mall, etc. We are located conveniently between the city of Cusco and Poroy train station on the way to the Sacred Valley of the Incas.
What makes this property unique
Views of both the Ausangate and Salkantay mountains from the guesthouse as well as towards the city of Cusco. You can interact with the locals in the community, watch them take animals out to pasture or play soccer on Sundays. You can take serene walks at high altitude which is especially good for Andes mountain trek preparation. The wood fire heater for those cold Andean nights creates a cozy feel.
