Had the most amazing stay at Dovecote. Andy and Clare are so lovely and accommodating. Stayed here for a joint Birthday. We had the best time. Dovecote felt like ‘home’ in minutes. I honestly didn’t want to leave. It’s beautiful. Thank you so much. Will definitely be returning. Rachel
Lovely Property in a great and convenient location for exploring the Cotswolds.
Andrew met us on the Saturday and showed us around and informed us that a builder would be in on Monday morning, working on the property attached to the barn, we said that was fine as long as it was after 9am, shame he didn't tell us it was a few builders ALL week prior to our visit as we propbably would have cancelled.
Our privacy was lost, they started around 8.15/8.30 until 6pm and we couldn't sit outside in the afternoons due to noise so stayed away most of the day.
Would recommend more cooking equipment as only three saucepans, no kitchen scissors and nothing suitable to stir scrambled egg with!
The emergency lights in the bedrooms are far to bright! We went to the countryside to get away from light pollution....
Apart from these little niggles we enjoyed our stay and would definitely go back when there were no builders in situ..
This would then be a potential 5 star......

Thank you for stay with us ,sorry to hear that you were upset with the minimum work, unfortunately it was over run and was due to finish before your arrival, our apologies !
Due to the other comments, that perplexed us!
We have just been to check and there are 6 sauspans not 3,and casserole dish, 2 wooden spoons for the scrambled eggs plus a pair of scissors and with regards to the lighting in the bedrooms, this is a commercial health and safety issue which would not of been signed off without them in place, to guide guests out in emergencies
We take on board your comments and thank you for your stay with us
Kind regards
Andrew and Clare
