Situated in hip Shoreditch, this vibrant one-bedroom maisonette apartment retains the warmth and exuberance of the converted Victorian pub it calls home. Perfect for two guests, this characterful home is moments from some of London’s trendiest bars and restaurants, with Columbia Road Flower Market and bustling Brick Lane also just a stone’s throw from the front door...
Masterfully restyled within to embody chic, contemporary living, the open-plan lounge and dining area instantly bids you to relax with its distinctive architecture, soulful soft furnishings and soothing house plants. It's a mood heightened by the travel and nature-themed art adorning the walls that may just inspire a sense of wanderlust. A hint of minimalism is on show in the fully-equipped modern kitchen, harmonious with its white splashback tiling, accent lighting and wood worktops.
Exposed wood beams bring a pinch of period charm to the bedroom, situated in the eaves of the home and playing host to a plush double bed, vintage bedside cabinets, a chest of drawers and a large wardrobe. Returning to a more contemporary style, the bathroom instantly catches the attention with its lush tropical atmosphere and comprises a freestanding roll-top bath, shower, double wash basin and washing machine.

At Veeve, we've been committed to hand-selecting the very best homes in London and Paris since 2011. Our mission? To provide our guests with the ideal space to suit their needs; be it a family home in Kensington, a chic penthouse in Shoreditch, or a quirky loft in the Marais... Our homes may vary in size, style and location, but the experience we offer - seamless and curated - always stays the same. Whichever home you choose, our team of experts are bursting with insider knowledge on the local area. We love to make recommendations, so why not give us a call?
Why they chose this property
Once an industrial wasteland in the heart of the East End, Shoreditch was the hipster party hotspot through the late nineties and early noughties thanks to an influx of young (but financially insolvent) professionals, creatives and bar-workers. Enfant terrible of the art world Tracy Emin set up home here before it was the fashionable locale it is today, and still lives around the corner in Spitalfields. Still a hub of creative industry and artistry, of late Shoreditch has relaxed into a neighbourhood containing a more refined, grown-up kind of cool.
