We took 7 adults and 4 children and our dog to this beautiful home in Arnold. It was a wonderful stay, despite power outage on Saturday and rain for much of Sunday.

Great place for large group!
We share this home with two other families for a weekend of skiing at Bear Valley. Plenty of room for everyone. Loved the downstairs bonus room for the kids and sectional around the fireplace for the adults. Easy parking in the driveway and garage for three cars.

We are happy to hear you had a nice time. Thank you for the feedback.
We all had a wonderful time and never felt crowded. Could use an upgrade on the tv in the main living area but we were still able to enjoy the super bowl
Ten of us stay here and had a great time. The cabin is plenty big enough plus dog. We stayed in the winter here and now summer. you can play music, laugh and play pool downstairs and no one can hear you upstairs. Very close to market and New Malones
Positives: floor plan great, well stocked, plenty of space , AC was great, lots of seating for family dinners inside and outside on deck. Negatives: sticky dirty kitchen floor, greasy BBQ, scolding hot water faucets and shower, several burnt out lightbulbs throughout house, no darts for dart game, tv did not work downstairs. With all that said we did have a nice stay, enjoyed the lake and the pool at the recreation center
The cabin is definitely showing it's wear. Light bulbs on the porch were out, carpet could use a good cleaning, bathrooms knobs and racks missing along with cabinets/drawers inside a bit dirty. The biggest concern that must be addressed is the deck. One of the adults thank goodness went out to the railing and immediately realized if you put any pressure on it, it was likely to fail and someone could have easily gotten hurt.

Thank you for your feedback. We apologize for any inconvenience and are addressing the issues you've mentioned. We'll ensure the cabin is well-maintained and safe for future guests.
We rented Big Timber Lodge for a 3 night stay. We had our blended family including adult children, their spouses and 2 grandchildren under the age of 6 for a total of 8 adults and 2 children. We couldn't have chosen a better place. The property was very clean and well maintained. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils, plates, glassware, etc. The sleeping accommodations were perfect for our group and there was plenty of space for everyone. There was snow on the deck where the children could play and we could see them from the warm family room inside at all times. We spent some time in Murphys as well as Big Tree Park. There are lots of things to do within a short distance. We will likely rent it again.
This cabin was great! The downstairs was perfect for the teens in our family. They had their own space to hang out and sleep in. The AC was a perfect addition. The beds were comfortable. The location was great; close to the rec area and close to town, lakes and the state park. Nothing was more than 7 min away!
We had a wonderful experience at the cabin.
Very spacious and roomy for our group. We loved the downstairs pool table. Perfect for simi large group. We have stayed in many places in the Arnold area and this ranks as one of the highest. Thank you for letting us enjoy your cabin.
This is our second time staying at this property. There are three sleeping areas, one being the master on the main floor, one upstairs and the third downstairs - ideal for multiple families, The house is located on a lovely street with low traffic. There is a new L-shaped sofa since our last stay... functional, attractive and comfy. The house is fairly well stocked. The beds all have a thin comforter (the Covid info stated no blankets). A heads up of items you might want to bring: a large fry pan (there are multiple fry pans no larger than 10"), a 9x13 pan, hairdryer and shower gel. Also, the corner of the eaves drips melting snow directly on the two steps at the entry, so be careful of ice! We like this house very much and plan to stay there again.
Had an amazing ladies weekend at this property. It was the perfect place to getaway and relax. All the amenities made this an amazing experience.

Thank you so much for taking the time to review your stay at BTL, and for the kindness of your review!
We are so happy you enjoyed your stay!
…. Isn’t this area just the best for a girls weekend !!
….I find myself a bit jealous …
We really appreciated the three levels of the house. Each family group had their own floor. The decor reflected being in the mountains. We would return!
We enjoyed our stay at Timber Lodge. Great deck and spacious rooms. Just a short drive to Murphy’s for wine and champagne tasting and lunch. We attended a wedding at Ironstone Vineyards which was very convenient. A walk in the North Grove at Calaveras Big Trees is a must do!

Fun get away
Stayed at Big Timber Lodge and it’s a great cabin. Just don’t be fooled when you ask if they supply the wood for fireplace and they say yes. Well it’s a gas fireplace, had to call to ask how to turn it on no reply for a day. Pool table downstairs was a lot of fun times
It was perfect for our group of 5 families with infants and kids. The location was great, cabin was beautiful and clean and we were lucky enough to experience the first snow of the year.
The best part of the cabin is the open floor plan where we spent most of our time. The kids played in the loft area upstairs and we were still able to hear and watch them. The house came fully equipped with clean towels and linen, and everything else we needed.
Can’t wait to come back!
Big Timber Lodge is everything we expected and WAY more! My best friend and her family and our family (quite a large group!) spent Thanksgiving week together in this amazingly beautiful, spacious and cozy cabin and couldn’t have asked for me. The layout is perfect for a large group and all of our kiddos (ages 3-15) had something to do and somewhere to go each and every day. The kitchen is large and perfectly laid out to accommodate lots of cooking. We made a Thanksgiving spread and had plenty of room and a huge dining room table to sit around and eat together. We will most definitely be back!

Great, but...
Cabin has a great layout and is functionaly adequate, however the owners must own pets because the house is overwhelmed with pet hair, everywhere (ie carpet, bedding, etc.). Really was a turnoff considering this is a premy rental and listing said ‘no pets allowed’.
Most disappointing was the property management company, Cedar Creek Realty. Their overall home instruction were lacking and resulted in several trips to the store for provisions that should have been included but were not. Also, we had cable and internet problems due to router issues that had NOTHING to do with outages with the cable provider yet all Cedar Creek Realty wanted to do was to blame on the cable company and couldn’t/wouldn’t help troubleshoot.
My various conversations with them felt dismissive, condescending, inadequate, and frustrating. They’d have you believe all our issues were the result of unusually severe weather conditions, but that’s b.s. Their customer service is lacking and my experience with them will prevent me from renting one of their managed properties again.

Hello, and thank you for your feedback. This cabin is actually pet-friendly, but I do apologize for any pet hair that you found lingering. We send all of our guests a message upon booking that details what provisions are / are not included but we always stock 2 rolls of TP per bathroom, 1 roll of paper towels, foil, trash bags, hand soap, dish soap, dish detergent, sponges, and more. I'm sorry if you felt our staff was dismissive or inadequate when it came to cable issues -- as I recall, you were at the cabin just after a severe winter storm that had disrupted roadways and utilities for many of our cabins. We assumed that your cable issues were part of the widespread outages that other guests were experiencing simultaneously, but our staff continued to communicate with you after-hours via text message regarding the cable issues. If you perceived any condescension that certainly wasn't the intent, and we were just as frustrated with the utility issues as you were. We hope you enjoy future visits to Arnold, even if not with Cedar Creek Realty, and we appreciate your patronage this past winter.

Exceptional place!
We enjoyed the house . It was so comfortable and peaceful. There is lots of space to enjoy time. We had to leave a night early due to a snowmobile accident. The only thing I’d like more if were towels. The towels provided were one per person and it was cold so it would be nice to have two each or just some in a cabinet if needed. Go enjoy this cabin!!!

The Best Cabin Ever!
This cabin was perfect! There was plenty of space for 10 and up to 12 people to hangout and not feel cramped. Has all the modern amenities of home and still makes you feel like you in the woods. The ambiance was something everyone needs to experience. The kitchen had everything you could need to cook with. We would definitely stay here again.

A spacious and private cabin with everything you need.
We really enjoyed this place with our kids and grandkids. It had everything we could possibly need, and the location was private and quiet....we will be back! Imagine having peace and solitude over the 4th of July holidays! It was close to everything at Blue Lake Springs, yet far enough removed that we felt the solitude of being in the mountains. We did not expect air conditioning...an added plus for cooling things down a bit just around dinner and before bedtime. The pool table downstairs was fun for some while there was plenty of room elseware to do other things. The expansive deck and patio furniture were comfy, and we always found shade somewhere. Having a two-car garage and plenty of driveway was also great.
