Taken together with the annex this property could not be bettered for our family group. The internal finishings are in excellent especially in the main house, but this does not detract from our liking of the annex.
The house more than made up for the miserable weather over the long weekend we stayed in Perranuthnoe. Kathleen was very helpful and the instructions were clear and accurate. The photos represent the house well and I would definitely recommend staying here - if we decide to visit the area again we will be sure to do so again ourselves! Thank you!
ChurchTown House was perfect for our family holiday with our girls and their husbands. The house is beautiful and full of character. Perranuthnoe is a beautiful Cornish village and even though we were away during the height of summer, it never felt busy. There are so many things to see and do nearby as well as some simply stunning beaches.
So, overall it was perfect and exactly as described and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend.
A beautiful house perfect for a special family holiday
We couldn't be happier with Churchtown House, it was exactly as described in the listing (better, in fact!) Kathleen was really helpful to speak to prior to our stay. When we arrived it was easy to access the house and we were blown away by how beautiful it was. This was a family reunion postponed since before Covid and we couldn't have picked a more perfect property to stay in. The rooms were clean and spacious, the kitchen was excellent for preparing meals for 9 people. The garden is quite simply magical with the occasional sound of the church bells next door. The views from every room were breathtaking and the house itself is stunning.
We also really enjoyed walking down to Perranuthnoe beach, with the lovely community feel - homemade fudge and homegrown potatoes available en route! The beach was very peaceful and fun for the children with all the little rock pools. The only thing we would have changed is to stay an extra week! We would love to come back and stay here again. Thank you so much Kathleen for hiring your beautiful home for our family reunion.
This was a lovely house in which to reconnect with family. Six adults and three children. Beautifully appointed and well located. Loved the pub, the beach and the little cafes. Wonderful coastal walks! I would definitely recommend this special area of Cornwall!
The house and garden was amazing. So much space, very well appointed and a great kitchen set up. Location was amazing with a brilliant local beach and cafes and not too far to so many great places!
Very happy with our stay in this lovely house and garden on the coastal path. The kitchen was well equipped and the basic stocks much appreciated. The manager kindly responded rapidly to our questions.
Kathleen offers a beautiful and calm property. We stayed in the main house which was extremely spacious with amazing views out to the sea.
The property is finished to a very high standard with quality finishes and well equipped throughout.
We enjoyed our stay immensely and would love to return for longer or to another of Kathleen’s properties.
We had a family holiday of 4 generations, this property and location was perfect for us all, so much space, so we were not on top of each other, from sitting quietly, looking a the wonderful view of the ocean indoors or out, reading a book, playing in the gorgeous garden, meeting up at the huge dining table, walking down to the beach or coastal path, strolling into the village, for lunch at the great cafes, Churchtown House was the ideal holiday home.
We had such a wonderful time. We only wish we'd been there for pleasure instead of work so we could have spent more time at the house and exploring the local area. The house had everything we needed and more and is very thoughtfully decorated. The beach is very close by and there are a number of lovely restaurants and cafes nearby as well. Kathleen was a dream to deal with. I would highly recommend her place to anyone.

Great location in unspoilt village location, next to the church and close to the beach. Great living spaces and three large double bedrooms. No bathrooms ensuite but two newly renovated bath/shower rooms upstairs and additional downstairs shower room.
A beautiful property in a wonderful location. A stylish, but incredibly comfortable, family friendly home, only a 5 minute easy walk to a beautiful beach.
We had an incredibly relaxing and beautiful stay at Churchtown House. The property itself is immaculate with lots of charm, all rooms are spacious and light, the kitchen is perfectly equipped and the garden is inviting both day and night. The local beach is beautiful and Perranuthnoe itself is an absolute gem - a dream of a Cornish village, but also close to all the better known beaches and towns in South Cornwall. The holiday home was loved by our two-year old daugther, grandparents and us alike - it´s a place to make holiday memories year after year, we will definitely return.
The house is beautiful and the garden was perfect for the kids to run around in. It’s such a relaxing place to stay and there is such a lovely feeling to the house you feel instantly relaxed. The village is really great and it was such a treat to be able to walk to the beach! A really fantastic week!! Also the recommendations were great. Porthminster beach cafe was brilliant and a real treat having not been out for three months!
Amazing house in a perfect location! We loved the village and will be back.
