This family friendly, comfortable & cosy house has all the answers. It offers the shack life experience for 1 or 2 families. It is private and peaceful, overlooking beautiful Frederick Henry Bay. A single vehicle sandy laneway goes past the front of the house to 3 more properties.

Easy living with an expansive open plan kitchen and living area which leads to double doors opening onto a waterside deck. A fully equipped kitchen, with oven, microwave, dishwasher and large fridge/freezer & has a basic pantry with most of the condiments you would need.

The large pine dining table seats all guests and there is a high chair if needed.

The living area has great seating choices for lounging and relaxing is warmed by a free standing wood heater or the convenience of a reverse cycle air conditioner for heating and cooling plus a ceiling fan.

Polished floorboards compliment the home throughout together with unique rustic pine furniture adding to the ambience.

The 2nd living area is an alternative quiet space with couches and chairs.

The 5 bedrooms have fixtures and furnishings that compliment the rest of the house. The 3 queen size bedrooms are situated well apart with 2 single bedrooms side by side. The largest queen bedroom also has a single trundle bed . All beds have quality doonas for warmth and coziness.
Bathroom 1 is adjacent to the kitchen/living space and has a walk in shower and toilet. A washing machine is included in the 2nd bathroom which also has a shower and toilet.

There are 2 decks. One overlooking the bay with the boating action and its beautiful sunsets and the second overlooking the garden at the back of the house, which has a Weber Family BBQ. Take your pick according to the weather.

Dodges Ferry is surrounded by a number of fabulous beaches and waterways. "Our beach" is in front of the property and it is a 40 metre walk to the steps for access.

The choices of swimming, surfing, fishing or just lazing or walking on the beaches are endless & are within walking distance or a short drive from the house. Park Beach surf beach is a 5 minute drive away.
A 3 minute walk along the beach (tide permitting) brings you to a lovely children's playground, plus a boat launching ramp, or alternatively a skate ramp is nearby.
Dodges Ferry is a small township (population around 3,000) on the eastern side of Pittwater and is a great base to explore all the major tourist attractions around Hobart.
Only 30 minutes from Hobart city, 20 minutes to airport, 20 minutes to the north is the historic town of Richmond and the Coal River valley and many wineries. 45 minutes to the south is Tasman Peninsula and Port Arthur.
