A property in a great location. Issues with cleaning on arrival - Insects (flies, ants, spiders etc) particularly in the main bedroom and wardrobe, this persisted throughout our stay. Crockery, glasses, cutlery, table mats at best had been rinsed by previous guests. Many items had old food encrusted on them. We had to preclean all the items that we used. We didn’t let this distract from our stay and overall had a good stay and enjoyed the offerings of Seascape & Esperance.
We enjoyed our stay overall! The property was clean, tidy, and well looked after, and the owner was friendly and easy to deal with. The location was really nice—just a short walk to the beach—but it would definitely be a better pick in the summer, as the house was quite cold during the nights in winter. Still, a lovely spot and a comfortable place to stay.
Both Sharon and myself grew up in Esperance, and schooled in Esperance. We both travelled away for work for 10 years or more, then returned to Esperance. We bought this lovely piece of land and built Seascape to be a holiday house. The design has passive solar elements and is boomerang shaped to block the prevailing SE and SW winds creating a lovely north facing sun trap in the winter.
Why they chose this property
This was a large property of one of our very good friends, he passed away sadly and we purchased the property to continue to develop it and enjoy living here with our children. We love that it is set in the bush to enjoy privacy, the birds and other wildlife, not far to the centre of town and only a short walk to the beautiful beaches.
What makes this property unique
We love the spacious high ceilings and natural light that floods Seascape. It has a lovely warm courtyard that is designed to trap the heat. It is lovely in winter with the wood fire to keep you cosy inside. Waking up to bird song is wonderful in the mornings.
