About this property
Charming home near the U of U
This updated 1928 brick house is conveniently located within walking distance of the University of Utah, and a short 15 mins from the airport, and 30 minutes from popular ski resorts in Park city and the Cottonwood canyons. There is a bus stop a few houses down, and the Trax light rail system is within a mile, a 5-10 minute walk. The home has hardwood floors, central air (cooling and heating), 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, with 4 beds, 3 couches, 2 baths, full kitchen, washer&dryer, backyard with trampoline, driveway parking, front balcony with table and chairs, gas fireplace, big screen HDTV with Hulu, Netflix, Basic Cable, Blue-Ray/DVD player, and of course wifi. I stay downstairs when I have guests, with a separate entrance, I'm a musician who travels all over the world performing and am usually out until late at night when I'm in town. Many of my guests rent the place to drop off kids starting at the University, or for Salt Lake downtown conventions, or for Ski trips, or other University of Utah related visits.

We stayed in the bottom level of this house and it worked well for our family of three. Close to the university and football stadium, it was the perfect location for an Utah football game. The host is very accommodating and helpful in advance and during our stay.
Was exactly what my family needed to rest and recharge after a frantic trip to the south to join our mother in hospital. Lovely home and great owner. Thank you for sharing your house and great location.
We chose to stay at this property while our son attended new student orientation at UU. The home is very close to campus, clean and well kept and the host is amazing and responsive. We will definitely stay here again for our visits.
Great location within walking distance to the Utes stadium as well as plenty of restaurants! Perfect location to stay for appointments/meetings/events at the University of Utah, University hospital or Huntsman. Comfortable house with everything you need for preparing basic meals. Absolutely would book again!
Property was clean and as advertised. Owner was very responsive to any questions. We were attending an event at Rice Eccles stadium and the property is a 5 minute walk away. Would definitely stay here again.
Beautiful restored old home in a great location to get around SLC.
Didn’t notice one bedroom had bunk bed only which was a little problem for our six foot 33 year old son.
Otherwise lovely stay all around
We appreciated that the house was clean and comfortable. The kitchen was stocked decently, but we could have use a couple more coffee cups. The location worked really well as we were visting U of Utah and going skiing. It's very easy to get to both from this house. We could also walk down to the local coffee shop - Java Jo's from the house. Thanks for a great stay!
We were in town to attend the Utah Florida openning college football game. The house is close to the stadium and worked out great for us. Would highly recommend this location if you are attending events at the University. The house was as it was in the listing
Wonderful three bedroom house close to all things Salt Lake City. We skied in Little Cottonwood and Big Cottonwood canyons, access was 20 minutes. The house is clean, well stocked and comfortable. Rob communicates well and is very easy to work with. I would give this property my highest recommendation!

Thanks for the review! I noticed that you left a 3/5 review, is there some way I can improve for future guests?
We were in town for an event at the campus, which is right up the road. We did a few adventure drives to Big Cottonwood Canyon and Little Cottonwood Canyon, both very easy to get to.
Kitchen could use a nice skillet and lid, but otherwise we had everything we needed. Bedrooms were nice and dark and comfortable.
Our second time staying at the owner's house. It is in the perfect location between the hospital and Sugarhouse clinics to make all the appointments easily. Owner was able to fix our booking error within hours of us noticing it. Thank you again for sharing your house with us.

Nice place
House was as stated in photos. Could've been a little more clean, but pretty nice. Also beware the basement apartment will be rented even if you rent the entire house. Maybe not the best option for a family.

As a follow-up, I chatted with Jason and he mentioned that the cleanliness issue he experienced was the bathtub which had a slow drain and during his stay left residue in the bath as it was draining slowly. As vacation rental host I do my best to stay on top of such issues however this is an older home and a popular property booked often. I've remedied the situation by declogging the drain which now should have no problem.
As per the downstairs tenants, the home description and house rules mention that there is a rental downstairs, which should not interfere with guests comfort as they are supposed to be respectful and mindful during their stay. Jason didn't mention any problems with their presence other than that it surprised him. Please read carefully the description when booking for details and more information about the home.
Really enjoyed our stay. comfortable and clean. We were there with our adult daughter and there was room to spread out. beds were comfortable. Love the character of older homes like this! We were able to walk to several restaurants (within a mile-easy walking). The master bathroom is small and my only suggestion would be to add some floating shelves above the toilet to place personal items. Appreciated the washer/dryer with supplies! Thank you for a wonderful stay!
We had an excellent stay at this property. It's location is perfect and close to the city and the mountains. Will definitely stay again if ever in need of a place in SLC.

Why they chose this property
I love Salt Lake City, and was interested in a home which I would feel a comfortable distance from downtown yet still retain the benefits of downtown living. Winter sports are important to my family and I and easy access to Ski resorts and Park City also helped me decide on this location. And the house itself was a cut above other homes I looked at, with a mix of classic and modern which I really love.
