CityViews — South Melbourne Nineteen floors up in Southbank One, with a private balcony that looks straight out over the city skyline to the Dandenongs. It's the kind of view that's genuinely worth the rent — watch the city light up at night, or have your coffee up there while Melbourne wakes up below you. Right in the middle of Southbank's arts and entertainment precinct, this one works just as well for a weekend as it does for a longer stint of city life.
The Space 100m², 19th floor. Three bedrooms, sleeps 6.
What You Actually Get Two of the three bedrooms have queen beds, and the third has two singles — genuinely useful flexibility if you're travelling as a family or a group who'd rather not share. The kitchen is properly equipped, with an oven, microwave, dishwasher and coffee machine, and the living and dining area has room to actually spread out. There's a 55" Smart TV with Netflix in the living room, and a 50" TV in the main bedroom for anyone who'd rather watch from bed. Heating and cooling run throughout, and downstairs you've got an indoor heated pool, a fully-equipped gym, and a BBQ terrace — the kind of extras that make a longer stay feel a lot less like camping out in a hotel.
The Location, Without the Spin You're at 180 City Road, properly in the middle of Southbank. The Yarra, Crown, the Arts Precinct and Southbank Promenade are all an easy walk, with the CBD, Federation Square, Flinders Street Station and Queen Victoria Market just across the bridge. The Botanic Gardens are close by for a run or a picnic, and the NGV, Eureka Skydeck and Yarra River cruises are all options if you want to see the city from a different angle. A tram stop is right around the corner on Queensbridge Street, and trams within the city grid are free.
Where to Eat (We've Actually Been) Commune Wine, Southgate Ave — unpretentious, a punchy little menu, and unmatched skyline views. Yarra Botanica, Southbank Promenade — floating on the river, fresh and mostly local produce. Miss Pearl Bar + Dining, Southbank Blvd — modern Asian right by the theatre, with a pre-theatre banquet if you're catching a show. Left Bank, Southbank Blvd — dinner and drinks in one, with a midweek three-course deal. Meat & Wine Co., Queens Bridge St — for when only a proper steak with a skyline view will do. Parking, Sorted Secure undercover parking for one car (2.1m clearance).

Location was great.
Property could have been cleaner - was dusty, fingerprints on microwave, appliances, windows etc, so could tell they had not been wiped over from previous guest.
They had allowed an early check in so maybe it was not properly cleaned for us.
Great location. The apartment has everything you need except face cloths!
Significant bond required which wasn’t refunded till the 8 th day after checkout. Signs in the apartment warning of a charge if you dirty the towels / linen with makeup , tanning lotion or hair dye! With 3 women in the apartment and no face washers we were panicking of being charged for dirty towels. However we were not, which was a relief. But concerning as they could easily have charged extra.
