This is a great house for a large group. The location on the ocean front is perfect, and it is nearby to the township and beautiful ocean view walks. We saw many whales and experienced glorious sunrises every day.Regarding the condition of the house there are a few things that could be upgraded. Bathroom toiletries could do with an upgrade and all the bathroom floors, while clean enough, need a really good scrub. Most properties in this category have better and more generous soap, shampoo and conditioner products. The kitchen was quite well equipped, and we managed to find all the utensils we needed. A new, adult size broom and a new mop would be first on my list to be replaced. Both need to go immediately. Overall, we had a great stay, and I would recommend this property.

Extremely spacious house in a superb location right on the coast path and overlooking the stunning coastline. As the pictures suggest, the house is older style, could have been a little cleaner in places and we’d have liked to be able to open more windows (locked with no keys) but it didn’t spoil our stay. Our host Bruce was very responsive and helpful.

Perfect location

Enormous house. Couldn't be in a better spot on the headland for watching the ocean (hundreds of dolphins) and a 15 minute walk or two minute drive to two wonderful beaches.

Lovely location and good sized rooms with fabulous ocean views. The TV didn't work, which is a frequent problem with rentals lately, in my experience. Also, some maintenance to fans was required and air-conditioning in the rooms with a lot of glass would have been good. Glass gives great views but a lot of heat as well.

Everything was great from cleaning , the View , and spacious the house.Only thing I didn’t like it it doesn’t have Aircon only fan .But the breeze coming from the ocean, it’s great too.Overall I like everything. The manager Property he helped us with a couple extra fans and everything was sold out. The house was very clean. I really recommended highly recommended.

Lovely home away from home

Perfect situation overlooking the sea between two good beaches. Lovely views from the top verandah. Bags of space in upstairs kitchen to prepare a big family pre Christmas dinner

Wonderful views

The size of the house was great for 8 people. I would prefer if linen was supplied. The tables and windows were dirty. Please supply champagne glasses, there were 2. The BBQ would not start, this needs to be looked at. The coffee machine had not been cleaned for some time. The outdoor furniture needed cleaning. Overall a great spot, just some minor matters to report on.

The day you came was just after the "sand storm " hitting Sydney , incl Wollongong and Illawarra areas, that was the reason caused the outdoor furniture and window were dirty. We will check the BBQ, maybe the battery is flat or ran out of gas. The cleaner was definitely overlooked to clean the coffee machine and we will improve in the cleaning service in the future and put more wine cups and others utilities in the house. Gongdao

Only contacted the host once and his response was speedy and appropriate. Property was generally as described and in good condition. However, the light in the front ground floor bedroom (to the right of the entrance) didn't work but did flicker sometimes. The fact that it flickered implies and electrical fault. The screens need attention. They come off their tracks. Would have liked to have a toaster downstairs (they're only 29 at KMart) and a few clothes pegs to stop clothes, towels blowing away. Didn't use the barbecue because it is a charcoal one which, I consider, to be impractical. Don't fancy waiting around for coals to heat up and then have to clean up the mess later. A small gas BBQ would be better. It wouldn't hurt to put an info package in the unit with info on where the nearest shop, takeaway and petrol station were located. Despite the above issues, we would happily book KIama Dream for a future holiday.

Kiama girls getaway

My 4 friends and I enjoyed our girls getaway at Kiama Dreams but found there were a few issues with the property. Our main concern was with the cleanliness - we felt the property had been neglected and the floors, ceiling fans and stoves needed a good clean. We also felt there should have been a compendium available with instructions on how to operate things such as the TV, dishwasher and induction cooktop (which we found after much frustration) would only work if the correct cookware was used. A window & blind were broken in one bedroom & the light switch did not work and there was no wardrobe or chest of drawers available in bedroom 5 to hang any clothes. However we raised these concerns with the property owner who was very apologetic and kindly offered a refund for our troubles. He thanked us for our feedback which he said was helpful and that maintenance would be carried out soon. Aside from all the negatives, we did enjoy our stay, the spectacular scenery from the large balconies, the spaciousness of the house and the coastal walk access from our back gate.

Our review

Cleanliness in some areas of the property was very poor. The very first bedroom near the entrance was very unclean. The sheets on the bed had black powder like stuff all over it. Not sure where it was coming from but looking around the bedroom we found that fan above had black dirty stuff on it. Couple who used this bedroom were not comfortable sleeping there,they had very poor sleep due to this reason. Kitchen utensils were not very clean,we had to clean all of them before using them. Bed sheets and blanket covers could be better quality. No mirrors in the downstairs bedrooms makes it hard to dress up. The manager Gong Dao of the property promised us 12 pm check in but just one day before he refused and spoke very rudely and screamed at lady guest which disrupted our plans but he was not apologetic, his attitude was he didn’t care. Lady guest was stunned with his rude behaviour. Over all not pleasant experience compare to the high price we paid for the property.

Hi Mohan, It's a shame your stay was not as you hoped. It was only promised that you could check in early if no other guests were checking out that day. Since we received a subsequent booking with guests checking out that day, I informed you that an early check in was no longer possible. Repeatedly ringing someone to demand an early check in under these circumstances is enough to frustrate anyone. I understand that you also had high expectations for the home interior; hence you even called me to ask why there were no gas heaters in every single room. Short getaway

Could not fault anything. AAAA++++ Very open and easy communication. House was very clean. Bed comfortable in every room comfortable. View was picturesque. This house was bigger than we expected and is situated in a quiet neighbourhood. Highly recommend.

Beautiful view and very spacious, oddly furnished

House was in a great location and had plenty of rooms. So much space and many bedrooms and bathrooms for a group of friends in town for a wedding. The living space didn’t have enough seating and the beds were incredibly firm. Kitchen had plenty of supplies but could do with a few more bowls. Check in and out was super easy and really clear.

You literally only pay for the view, and it's a great view but... the house really needs a deep clean inside and out, dead cockroach inside the cupboards, dead bugs under the bed, sheets had stains and hair, bathroom wasn't properly clean, floor felt sticky, etc etc. I came worried about the cleaning due to previous reviews and was confirmed cleaner was changed but that was bs. They needs new linen and to upgrade the furniture overall, the living room has 2 small couch barely fits 6 people for a large house... Communication was good before booking then not

Location and room in this house were excellent. Enough room for two families. Great views. Some of the china and glasses were dirty in the cupboard and no champagne glasses. However linen and towels were good.

Awesome ocean views

Pros: The views of the ocean from the house are awesome. It is located right next to the Little Blowhole and a short drive to Kiama blowhole. It is a spacious house with lots of bathrooms. Kitchen was well stocked. Good supply of towels. Toiletries like soap and shampoo provided. Kitchen has a pantry with basic items needed. Dishwashing items provided. Has some great beaches located a short drive away, close to Kiama shops and not too far away from Shellharbour and Wollongong for shopping. Cons: Cleanliness of the house could be improved. Was some rubbish leftover from previous people left when we came in- needs to be more attention to detail. Beds are uncomfortable, bed sheets weren’t comfortable either. No air con so on the day that it was humid it was still stuffy in the house despite all windows and doors being open and fans turned on. Was nice on the cooler days though. Is an older house with outdated furniture, has an odour in some rooms. Not enough seating in lounge room to cater for amount of people that the house can accomodate. Overall it was a spacious holiday house that provided the basics- definitely paying for the view.

Amazing place to stay. Will be back again.

This property was just what we were after to sit and enjoy the view of the ocean from the huge upstairs lounge room window and the lovely walks along the ocean and having every amenity you need. We will be back with our extended families next time as there is so much room. Gordon was lovely to deal with and easy check in and out.
