Just 25 minutes from Rotorua city, this idyllic lakeside location features a safe sandy beach perfect for swimming, kayaking, trout fishing, boating, and water sports. Guests also enjoy easy access to a wide range of Rotorua and Whakatāne adventure activities, including walking trails, mountain biking, white-water rafting, luging, hot pools, and many popular tourist attractions. A golf course, playground, and scenic bush walk are all right on your doorstep.

Sleeping up to 10 guests, Lakeside Escape is ideal for couples, families, or groups of friends looking to relax, reconnect, and enjoy the natural beauty of Korokitewao Bay. With the owner’s permission, additional guests may camp in tents during the warmer months.

We love being a host as we love other families enjoying the lake as much as we do. Please leave us some feedback on our page - we take delight in hosting and love hearing when guests have had a wonderful time.

Why they chose this property

We're an outdoors family who love being by the water - be it the lake or the ocean. We chose this area as we have the lake and boat ramp on our doorstep which enables us to capitalize on good weather and be on the lake skiing, fishing, visiting the hot pools or just having a drink at the Okere Falls store (all within boating distance) in no time at all. We also enjoy being out in the country but only a 25 minute drive to the city and a half hour drive to the famous mountain bike park!

What makes this property unique

We have a large section, plenty of room for tents, cars and boats. We are fenced out the back to cater for fury friends to come along too however this is at the owner's discretion.
