About this property

Monterey Stud - Stunning Views!

Recently built in Oct 2015, this designer "barn style" farm house has a fabulous feel, no matter what the season. Spring through Autumn presents a massive deck sporting lounges, shade umbrellas, bbq facilities and dining table for 10 - and don't forget the views down the valley, stunning.
Access to the deck isn't via a poky door. Absolutely not! Fold back the 10 mtrs of glass doors and experience what indoor / outdoor living is really about.

Come Winter, watch the morning fog flood the valley or snuggle up by the fire and sample your purchases from the local wineries.

Accommodation is for up to 8 adults. Two large private bedrooms (one with en-suite), each with Queen size beds. The bunkroom adds another four king size bunks - enabling even the 190cm + kids to have a great nights sleep. If they are younger, they'll just love the funky set up and their own TV room, all with online access to Netflix and movies.

The kitchen boasts a large marble bench top with seating for 6 - the guests can chat with the hosts whilst meals are being prepared. No sinks or dirty dishes, they're on an adjacent bench top. Two fridges and dishwashers round out the entertainers dream kitchen.

Something more formal? Try the dining table which comfortably seats 10, when not being used for ping - pong.

This house has a great country & beach feel with indoor / outdoor living and amazing views. Just 10 minutes from the beaches and golf course at Pt Leo and Flinders.
You can't help but feel relaxed.

Footnote re design & layout:
The house was designed as a "holiday house", a place where family and friends can gather to enjoy the fantastic indoor / outdoor living in a country setting. The master and guest bedrooms accommodate the adults (4), whilst the bunk room looks after the kids (4). Instead of small poky bedrooms, we went for larger spaces which can be used for alternative purposes. The master and guest b/rooms are 5m x 4m and can easily handle a cot and baby's gear. The bunk room is also the kids TV / play room - their separate space, which the kids love. But it also acts as the walkway between the main living area and the master bedrooms. Not a problem unless the kids (or extra adults) require their own private b/room.

Outstanding family getaway

This was the perfect spot for a family getaway. The house was stunning only surpassed by the breathtaking scenery. The house has more than you could need to entertain the family and plenty of space for our little one to play. We felt like we were in our own home, not a holiday rental. We will definitely be back!

We cried when we left

We loved everything about this property! The weather worked against us but it didn't matter with gorgeous views and amazing kitchen very well fitted out Mum was happy and the set up for the kids was ideal too. We had lots of people coming and going throughout our stay and it was so comfortable and seamless. The location was perfect and offered it seemed the best of everything - it is unusual for us to say we'll be back but I have no doubt we'll be back for this one!! x

Beautiful property

Beautiful property and great accommodation. The house is very spacious and well equipped. The hosts were friendly and accommodating. It was a cold wet rainy weekend but the fireplace kept us cozy and there was enough space that the kids were able to be entertained inside. We enjoyed cooking in the kitchen which had everything you could need. We plan to stay again in the summer time to make use of the outdoor spaces.

Perfect place for a ‘Get Ready for a Wedding’ gathering

When my daughter announced that she and her fiancé were getting married at nearby Point Leo Estate, I searched for the perfect place for the bride, her bridesmaids and family to spend the day getting ready for the wedding. I came across Cilento Farm (now Monterey Stud) and it ticked all our boxes. The lovely open plan layout provided plenty of space for the hair and makeup team to do their thing; grazing platters laid out on the huge marble kitchen island; everyone to have fun and the lovely deck with stunning views provided the perfect backdrop for pre-wedding photos. This is one of the best stocked holiday rentals I’ve ever stayed in. From the professional grade coffee machine through to a huge selection of lovely crockery, glassware and crockery, it had everything we could possibly need. The beds are super comfy (extra important for much needed sleep); the spacious bathrooms with excellent shower pressure and tasteful, friendly styling created the perfectly relaxed environment. All our pre-wedding guests commented on how stunningly perfect this lovely place is. Communication with Matt and Jacquie was great and we’ll all remember it for providing the best backdrop for a lovely pre wedding celebration.

A very special place - highly recommended

We had a wonderful, relaxing four nights away at this property and would love to return. The house was spacious, clean and thoughtfully put together. Linen was provided and of hotel quality. So many things exceeded our expectations, including the views from the expansive deck that made us truly stop and appreciate. Despite feeling secluded, the location was close enough to everything we needed - a grocery store, vineyards, beaches, cafes etc. There was plenty of space for the kids to run around in the yard. Communication from our host was excellent and very responsive.

Beautiful house and property in one of the best parts of the Peninsula. Great for entertaining.

Large, modern, barn style house with enormous balcony with stunning views over nearby forest and hinterland. The house is on Tucks Road which generally follows a ridge line dotted with vineyards. The house feels off the beaten track but is close enough to local beaches, towns and activities. A particular feature of the house is the kitchen which has 2 fridges , 2 dishwashers, 2 ovens and enough crockery and cutlery to host a large lunch or dinner as we did for Xmas day (ditto for furniture with one large indoor and one large outdoor dining table and plenty of chairs). Well appointed bedrooms and bathrooms. Flinders town just gets better and better and if you’re into golf a must is the Flinders golf course, stunning views from every hole, the oldest golf course in Australia.

Ultimate Mornington Peninsula stay

Cilento farm epitomises the iconic images of a Mornington Peninsula experience. The location in the hills of Shoreham/Red Hill was spectacular. Being in an environment of tranquility and privacy was welcomed. Everything was catered for in the house. It was spacious and comfortable and the 3 kids absolutely loved it especially the built in bunks. The kitchen was amazing and the coffee machine a life saver. The house would suit many sorts of holiday makers and it was so nice in the mornings when the sun streamed into the kitchen and the deck. The local cows were always in sight to remind us of its farm setting. Central heating was very efficient. Open fire was magical at night when used and compliments the Paringa Estate or Oceans Eight Pinot Noir (both very close to the property). Netflix was great and the internet flawless. Matt was great with communication. There was nothing that he could not help with. Highly recommended and you will not regret staying here. A great place to enjoy all that the Pen has to offer.

Cilento Farm is set in pretty countryside with views surrounded by many choices of activities typical to Mornington Peninsula. It is well very equipped & working. Modern conveniences including internet, Netflix at touch of a button. No problems at all. Owners looked after us well & assisted in every way. Third bedroom needs more privacy only concession. Loved our stay.

Idealic!!!!

A beautiful property that had everything you needed for a fun, relaxing stay..... The only issue we found was that the people staying in the guest bedroom had to walk through the room with the 4 bunk beds to use the bathroom ..... which was a bit disconcerting as there were people asleep in the room with the bunks This however did not take away the fact that we loved our stay and would definitely recommend it.

We had the best weekend at Cilento Farm! The views across the valley are incredible and the house had everything we needed and more. With close proximity to Mornington Peninsula's finest wineries and beaches, it was the perfect place for us to relax and unwind. We will definitely stay there again!
