This was the first big trip for myself and my girlfriend. We enjoyed the easy walk to the town and the cal train was a great way to get to the city. We felt very safe in neighborhood. The host was very accommodating and was always available if needed. Everyone in the neighborhood who we talked to was super nice and helpful when they gave us directions. I hope that the next people that stay here get to see the scenery, kindness, and overall peace on this trip.
Exactly as described - small but perfect for a couple with everything needed. Extras such as the home made appetizer left for us on arrival, plus filter coffee and condiments were much appreciated. Easy street parking and very quiet area. Loved the jigsaw puzzle collection and extra books. We will be back - thank you.
Only issue was low ceilings, especially bathroom. Husband hit his head a few times on enclosed beam. Low showerhead. I’m 5’8” & low for me. Loved the patio area & neighborhood. Would stay there again to visit our daughter.

The apartment was attractive and pleasant. The hosts were easy to get along with. We have one suggestion. Out near the street there are cement cutouts that have succulents planted in them. The soil is more than an inch below the sidewalk. The first evening we were there, my wife’s foot slipped off the sidewalk into the plant area, resulting in a painful ankle sprain. It is still bothering her over a week later. We suggest that the soil be brought up to about a half inch below the sidewalk, which should prevent this happening again. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay. It’s in a nice neighborhood and an easy drive or train ride into San Francisco.
The host always responded in an exceptional manner to accommodate our needs. We had some unusual events, which he fully accommodated. The space is of high value, and very economical.
This was a perfect spot to stay in the area. The unit had everything I needed and then some. Parking was easy. The kitchenette was ideal for cooking little meals. All and all, a wonderful place!
Only warning I would give is very tall people should be mindful of this listing. At 6'3", I was very close to the ceiling and in parts of the bathroom, I couldn't stand upright.
Other reviews are spot on- nice but cozy/small place, perfect size for me traveling to the area for work by myself. Slight gap in communication about a sink that would not drain. Shower is interesting- large and with a curtain that does not quite cover it. Still, the whole place was a very pleasant experience and would stay there again.
This place exceeded my expectations. Upon arrival, there was tea and snacks set up for my partner and me. They even took into account my partner's allergies! It was very clean and had all the amenities you would find at a nice hotel (robes, slippers, earth-friendly shampoos and soaps, complimentary coffee and snacks, even some wired headphones). Here is a breakdown of my experience as 2 women staying in an unfamiliar area.
Pros:
- Sensor light at the front entrance
- Full kitchen for cooking with nearly all necessary utensils (I do wish there would have been a spatula and a pair of scissors, but it really wasn't a big deal)
- Quiet area
- Grocery and a few department stores were about a 10-minute drive
- Small outside seating area at the front entrance
Cons:
- The location is in one of the safest cities in CA, however, I would have still liked to have blinds or some type of thicker curtains over the windows.
Suggestions:
- I was not accustomed to cooking with an electric stove, so I set off the fire alarm one day when cooking because I had the heat too high
- I am 5'7", so the ceiling height was not an issue for me, however, as a previous guest mentioned, if you are taller than the 6' range, you may be a little uncomfortable.
- The neighborhood was very walkable if you just wanted to go for a stroll, however, I highly suggest renting a car if you need to run errands. For us, it was a cheaper option due to the ride-share and Instacart strikes.
- The laundry machines are through the door by the bed. You just need to ask the Owner to unlock the door.
Extremely comfortable bed. Great bathroom. I felt very welcome with the extra touches and welcoming appetizers.
