2 People – 1 Bedroom – 1 Queen – ¾ Bath

Welcome to Golden West: Located in Spearfish Canyon, Golden West is part of Wickiup Cabins, a 20 cabin village on 5 acres on Spearfish Creek. This is considered a two person cabin and as the name implies sits on the west end of our property. It has a queen bed, bathroom, kitchenette with stove, mini fridge and microwave, gas fireplace for heat, WIFI, all bed linens, towels and basic cookware. Never miss a morning coffee with a coffee pot, coffee and filters supplied in your cabin. Outside sits a picnic table and charcoal grill. Pet Policy: We're happy to welcome dogs at Golden West. Dogs must be leashed anytime they are outside the cabin, and we ask that guests clean up after them and be considerate of nearby guests. If your dog is left alone in the cabin, please kennel them if they may become anxious or could damage anything. If a dog is barking, crying, or disturbing other guests while unattended, we may need to contact you to return to the cabin. Pet fee: $25 per dog, per day, with a two-dog maximum.

Shared Amenities & Property Access: Our cabin sits on a beautiful 5-acre property with Spearfish Creek running through it.

During your stay, you are welcome to enjoy all our shared community spaces, including:

• Creekfront Lounge: Covered outdoor lounge seating right next to Spearfish Creek.
• Fire Places & Pits: A large community wood fire pit, plus multiple gas fireplace gathering areas.
• Kids’ Area: Play area featuring a sandbox.

• Trailers: A dedicated trailer parking area is available on-site.

Wonderful Place

Our cabin was great. It was very clean and the information card and notes on the walls were very helpful. The bbq every Tuesday during the rally was a special treat. Had tons of fun with all the neighbors. The owners and others helping were so pleasant and took care of every need. It turned a little chilly and extra blankets were handed out although it was nice and warm on the cabin but thank you for all your consideration during our stay.

Our stay was exceptional at the Wickiup Village, nestled in Cheyenne Crossing, just west of Lead, South Dakota. The air, crisp and carrying the faint scent of pine, set a peaceful tone. Our hosts, altruists, made every guest feel utterly at ease. I found joy each morning in their bright smiles and the warm, welcoming energy they radiated, a truly delightful way to begin our days. You might ask them about a special guest, Willis, who entertains with a Disney-like charm? He's a delightful visitor, and you might see him perched on a rock on the hill beyond the cabins. He might even visit you if you're open to it. The cabins gleam, meticulously kept. My wife and I reveled in our adventure within the Golden West cabin, the scent of pine and polished wood filling the air. The carpentry was a feast for the eyes; its intricate details and smooth finish were undeniably perfect. Inside, a sense of calm prevailed; it was spotless and neatly arranged. The true magic, however, lay in the absence of a television's flicker, allowing us to fully absorb the breathtaking panorama stretching out from every vantage point of the resort. A clear stream with a gentle gurgle meandered through the property, promising trout, and a place to relax. Come, bring your family and see for yourself.

Comfortable with easy access.

We enjoyed our visit very much! We had our dogs, so we would have liked a little more room between cabins, but it was adequate. Early in the season, cool and refreshing mornings, beautiful scenery!
