VANBERY COTTAGE IS PART OF A 43 ACRE CATTLE PROPERTY & ROSELLA FARM. SITUATED A SCENIC 12 KMS DRIVE SOUTH OF BOONAH (90 MINS FROM BRISBANE CBD), IN THE HEART OF BEAUTIFUL SCENIC RIM REGION OF SOUTH EAST QUEENSLAND.
BOUTIQUE PRIVATE HILLTOP ACCOMMODATION WITH BREATHTAKING VALLEY AND MOUNTAIN VIEWS
ONE FULLY SELF-CONTAINED COTTAGE WITH BEAUTIFUL DECOR, FIREPLACE , AIR-CONDITIONING , FULL KITCHEN , GUEST POOL.

NOTE: THERE IS AN 800 METRE UNSEALED WINDING DRIVEWAY TO REACH THIS SPACE ON TOP OF OUR HILL. SOMETIMES SUBJECT TO DAMAGE DUE TO WEATHER EVENTS. HOWEVER WE ARE AVAILABLE TO ASSIST OR CONTACT PRIOR TO STAYING. THERE ARE CEMENT TRACKS ON THE STEEPER INCLINE AT THE LAST SECTION TOWARDS THE TOP GATEWAY. WE ENDEVOUR TO MAINTAIN THE DRIVEWAY AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE.
THE PROPERTY SHARES WITH ANOTHER ACCOMMODATION CALLED VANBERY CHAPEL. A FULLY RESTORED CHAPEL FOR COUPLES AND ROMANTIC GETAWAYS.

Idyllic Getaway

I was looking for a holiday location that would provide a much needed re charge. I found Vanbery Cottage to be the perfect location. Surrounded by beautiful scenery, the cottage is idyllic. Beautifully decorated and maintained Vanbery Cottage is the ideal getaway.

we enjoyed our stay very much. It was good to get away and be "unplugged" from our phones and computers for a few days. we will definitely be back if Helen and Terry will have us. Waking up to beautiful views every morning was a bonus. We were very well looked after an Vanbery Cottage

The cottage is immaculately kept. It had everything that we needed for our stay, and the view is to die for. Helen, the owner, was very welcoming and helpful. The winter nights were no problem with the lovely combustion heater, and plenty of firewood. The bed was very comfortable, and the separate kitchen had all we could need. We will definitely be returning guests to this venue. Thank you Helen and Terry.

Just what we needed!

We stayed at Vanbery Cottage for three nights. It had everything that we needed & made for a relaxing stay. Every evening we enjoyed the sunset from the verandah with a glass of wine. The nights were brisk but the property has two good heating options - panel heater or woodfire. Thank you for the delightful welcome cake too Helen, it was a thoughtful touch. The driveway is a bit rugged, but easily navigated if you take it slow.

Nice cottage. Well appointed with excellent fire place although a little tired. Freshly baked cake and bread a nice touch. Fantastic views over the valley.Would be happy to revisit other than for the very long and terrible driveway. Need 4wd or car with high ground clearance. Would be nearly impossible in the wet with a normal road car. Access to the cottage and parking area also unacceptable. I didn't see any mention of this in the ad.. Would have rated 4/5 but because of the access 2.5/5

Sorry David, you were unhappy with your stay. You had an uncover park at the shed however due to the Wedding cake in your car I thought it more convenient for you to drive over our lawn to be close as possible to the Cottage. I guess having the precious cake made navigating the driveway a little tricky. The position we have high on the hill that boasts the outstanding views have a drawback when rainwater sweeps its own path down the driveway. We have never had anyone stuck even in the wet, no matter the car. We did delay works last week so that our other Guests that turns out was your Family, Bride and Groom and all the visitors for them to prepare had access to Vanbery Chapel. We are disappointed in your review however your new Daughter in Law gave us a 5-star review and 100% recommendation. I am completely happy for them. It would have been good if you had communicated your concerns while you were here. We would have been happy to help. All the best. Helen & Terry

The accommodation, facilities & location all exceeded our expectations. Its truly a magical place. There are incredible views, you can hand feed the cows, the friendliest dog runs to greet you personally & our Hosts Helen & Terry were just so welcoming. It was just the perfect getaway. Fantastic escape with friendly hosts

My husband and I loved staying here, Helen and Terry were very welcoming and seemed to genuinely enjoy having people stay. There was a small cake waiting for us on arrival, which was a lovely touch and enjoyed in the hammock. Great view. Lots of wildlife around, we stopped in their drive to watch Whiptail wallabies bound back and forth for a while. Heads up that at the time of writing their driveway was pretty rough, fine in a VW Golf if you take it slow - they are looking to get this fixed. Thanks Helen and Terry
