A charming historical building with good quality facilities including a very large comfortable bed, nice bathroom and quality upstairs kitchen and living area with great views. Tammy, the host was very easy to deal with and responded promptly.
A’driveway’ through a gate takes you to this lovely property which was once a school. The grounds are spacious and offer lots of places to sit. Located in the countryside, the views from inside the house and verandah of mount Barney are spectacular . . The house is spacious, clean and well equipped and the furnishing celebrates the heritage of the property and modern living. We loved it
We drove down in the evening and arrived in the dark.
The house (an old school classroom for the living space).was really nice. Well appointed, with two large bedrooms.
We woke up to spectacular views in three directions to different mountains.
Hikes at Mount Barney are only 15 minutes away so we did Lower Portals one day and had a chilly but lovely swim in the gorge.
The next day we drove a little further the Queen Mary Falls and Daggs Falls.
So many interesting things to explore around the property. A lot of history that would be good to learn more about.
Cows pass up the road in the afternoon heading to be milked.
We enjoyed cheeseboards and wine watching the beautiful sunsets.
Great place!
This cottage is located on our favourite road in South East Queensland. The views change by the hour with the shifting sky. And they are even better in real life than they appear in the photos! The beds and bedding are exquisitely comfortable. The kitchen is well appointed with thoughtful yummy additions and couch is comfy too! We adored every single minute of our time here and can’t wait to return. The best holiday home we’ve had the privilege to stay in - we’re mountain loving nature honouring folk and this was perfect for us.
