We had an amazing stay. Very Kiwiarna, cosy batch. Beautiful outdoor areas. Lots of great places to explore close by. 3 night was not long enough. Will be regular visitors to this lovely warm, sunny homely cottage .
Great old school kiwi batch, in an absolutely Awesome location. Walking distance to EVERYTHING, beautiful rivers to swim and safe for kids, amazing and stunning river walks and hikes opposite the batch, beach 5 mins walk down road, cool local pub and atttractions.
Thanks for a wonderful week at your bach, it had everything we needed. Loved the backyard and toy box for our kids and they were delighted with the weka that came to visit morning and evening. We had a lovely stay and enjoyed all Punakaiki had to offer. Very central location for walking everywhere. Thanks
Convenient location to great walks and beach. Great communication from the host with good recommendations of what to do in the area. We couldnt get the tv to work it seemed to need you to bring your own chromocast. Cleaning could have been a little more thorough. But otherwise a comfortable stay.

Thanks for your review and for mentioning the TV. It seems someone had unplugged the Chromecast, which explains why it wasn’t working for you! I have also had a chat to our cleaner 😊

Basic Bach
Basic bach. Would benefit from some deck furniture, BBQ, larger TV.
Owners communicated well and helpful accomodating our specific needs, thank you!
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, superb location.
Feedback: some maintenance required on the septic tank, overflowing outside the bathroom. Also lockbox for key requires replacing.

Thanks for that Neil. We appreciate the feedback, will get those issues sorted :)
Note this is "classic 1970's NZ" at its best and without the trimmings, so you'll need to bring sheets, blankets and towels.

Hey Paul, thanks for the review. It is stated in our listing that you need to provide your own linen, but I will have a look in case I can make it clearer for future guests :)
We had a great time here was in a perfect location just a few min walk to the pub and theres a great walk across the road. The house is nothing fancy but the beds are comfy and the house has everything you need. Would definitely stay again!
Smelt damp, not a holiday home to relax in. Really old furniture, beds were comfortable. The shower was a pool of water due to a blocked plug hole no doubt. Cleanliness was good.

Sorry to hear that you didn’t enjoy your stay as much as our previous guests. You’re right that the furniture at our bach is older, but it reflects the fact that it’s a classic Kiwi bach. Thanks for the heads up about the shower, we’ll get onto fixing that asap :)
Wonderful bach with well appointed kitchen, excellent washing facilities, lovely backyard visited often by weka. We loved kayaking up the Pororari River (canoe hire is really close to the bach), the local tavern, the cavern and the Pancake Rocks - all walkable.
