This spacious 1,200 SF 2-BR 2-Bath condo is in a quiet and relaxing spot at the south end of Ali'i Drive. Adjacent to the 8th teebox of the Kona Country Club, it's a beautiful setting whether you're a golfer or not. It sleeps 4 Adults max, and up to 6 total including children, with two queen beds and a queen sofa/sleeper.
The Master Bedroom has an ensuite with a two-sink vanity and walk-in closet.
The fully equipped kitchen is key to your relaxing vacation. No need to run back and forth to the store. We've outfitted the kitchen so that won’t be necessary.
The large living room has a 47' flat screen HDTV with HD cable service.
High speed internet and a work desk with laser printer is there for your use. Telephone with free local and long distance calling to the US and Canada.
The large west facing lanai provides views of the well maintained grounds, the 8th fairway of the Kona Country Club, and the setting sun. Comfortable deck chairs, table and Weber gas grill make this a perfect place to relax and enjoy your down time in paradise. The master bedroom and living room both have direct access the ground-level lanai.

On-SIte Ameneties: Our well-maintained swimming pool is just a two-minute walk away. Cool off in the pool, and relax in the jetted hot tub.

Great for our adult family!

The condo had everything we needed for our one week trip! No AC was an adjustment, however, the condo was safe enough that we slept with the windows and sliders open all week. The pool is quiet and relaxing! Beautiful short walk to the pier for sunrise and sunsets!

This was a great place to stay and explore the Kona area. Unit was well stocked and very comfortable. Enjoyed the lanai - although the sliding screen doors tended to stick making opening/closing needing 2 hands! Small thing to complain about since everything else was absolutely perfect! Thank you!

Great family friendly condo in Kona

The condo was exactly as described and well supplied with anything a family could need for a Hawaiian vacation including beach gear (chairs, boogie boards, coolers etc) and a fully stocked kitchen. The space was clean and spacious and the beds were comfortable. The washer and dryer came in handy with all the beach days. The ground floor lanai was a beautiful spot to enjoy a morning coffee and watch the sunset. The location was great- 2 minute drive or walk to Keahou bay for boating excursions (snorkel tours) and easy drive to grocery shopping and beaches. Sierra was excellent and responded quickly to any questions. We were extremely happy with the accommodations and the easy communication. We would love to return!

Great location for us

This turned out to be an excellent location for us, about halfway between Kailua and Captian Cook, where the majority of activities we did were located such as snorkeling, farm tour, outrigger canoe trip, kayak rental and national historical park. Plus the night manta ray snorkel is just down the street! We found good dining options in Captain Cook as well as in Kailua. Our stay was in December, so it was comfortable enough without air conditioning, 80 during the day and about 70 at night. It is a very quiet community and was safe enough to leave the sliding doors open. Kitchen had everything we needed for the bit of cooking we did, and there were plenty of beach towels, 4 beach chairs, a big cooler bag and other hard and soft sided coolers and ice packs, oh and two boogie boards, which our teens enjoyed. This condo had everything we needed and we never even looked for the bikes. My only suggestion for the owners would be to have the cleaning staff pay a little more attention to dusting the fans and cleaning light switches and remotes, but that has been the case for 4 out of 5 vrbos I've stayed at.

Kona Heaven

This 2-bedroom, 2-bath condo was the perfect way to experience the Big Island. It is located within walking distance of Keauhou Bay where you can catch a view of the sunset. It is exactly 3 miles from the Magic White Sand Beach which is the perfect distance away from the more congested area. The condo is stocked with everything you need to enjoy a day on the beach: Umbrellas, chairs, sand mats, beach towels, coolers, snorkel gear, boogie boards, surf board and more. The condo has a bunch of travel guides, trail guides, snorkel guides, maps and other resources to help you make the most of your trip to the Big Island. We enjoyed the two bikes. Drivers are very considerate of pedestrians and many roads have a bike lane. The lanai is ground level and provides easy access to the pool and hot tub. Having a grill on the lanai was a bonus. Plenty of fans keep the condo cool at night. Both beds are extremely comfortable. The parking spot is close to the entrance. The owners are very responsive and the manager was friendly. The place was amazing. I hope to be back someday.

Excellent location and amenities

Our stay was great. The location was very convenient to one of the best snorkeling spots on the island as well as Kailua/Kona which has lots of restaurants and shops. Since there is no AC we purchased a fan to add to the supplied fans to cool down the condo. This worked fine once all the windows were opened. The owner was very responsive to our requests/questions and we were very happy with the cooperation.

Really nice condo in nice setting

My wife and I met our daughter for her Spring Break from UH. The setting on the golf course was very nice and quiet. The condo was spacious and very nicely apportioned. The condo has all the extras you will need. The kitchen was great and had all the kitchen tools we required for our 5 days stay. The owners were very responsive and answered any questions quickly. We were close to the bay were we went on the manta ray cruise which was nice as well. There was no air conditioning, but lots of ceiling fans so after a day, our northern blood got used to the warmth and it was nice. Highly recommend and we would stay again!

Missing a/c in the bedrooms at least - our stay was hotter climate than normal - Kona in a drought should have been a little cooler but we are not complaining about that! This unit was a walk out to the pathways on the property but at parking level you have a hefty flight of stairs - If travelling with disabled friends you have to consider that. we would have chosen a 2nd floor unit that put us at the parking level instead...and would have possibly given us a peek at the ocean - all we could see from the unit - while seated - was hedge and a glimmer of the Tee Box on number 8. Manta Ray excision a must for those that visit.

Hot. So hot.

I didn’t realize this property didn’t have air conditioning (I now realize it’s less common here but had no idea to check that when I reserved this condo) and we just sweated through our entire stay. We used the provided fans and opened windows and closed shades at appropriate times but every night all 6 of us tossed and turned because we were so hot. We had planned to spend a lot of time hanging around during the day, but it was just too hot. It was a shame because otherwise this property really was nice. Very clean, well maintained, and a good location. Had it not been so hot this would have been an easy 5/5 stars. So many nice beach accessories provided for use, and the kitchen was excellent for a family. We also used the lanai extensively! Also worth noting that the second bedroom has a floor to ceiling bike rack not pictured in listing photos which made it hard to put the two pack and plays we needed in that room.

First big family trip.

Brought my mother, wife and two kids (1 & 3 years old). The condo is located on the lower level where the lanai patio meets the well taken care of park like grounds. It was great because the kids could run around through the condo onto the grass. There seemed to be a good amount of privacy on the lanai. A few older folks walked by on occasion but mostly had the entire backyard to ourselves. Pool is not far away and we could watch the golfers tee off at the adjoining course. Condo itself was clean roomy and comfy. Would def recommend to those with small families.

As a Civil Engineer and CPA, we have lived and have worked in Alaska for 40+ years. We love to get away to a tropical place more and more these days. This condo in Keauhou has allowed us to quickly escape the cold and be up and running in paradise in less than 24 hours. We can continue to stay connected if needed, with internet and basic office furnishings.

We are both advanced SCUBA divers (PADI Instructor and Divemaster) and love the warm water diving that the big island offers.

These are the main reasons we chose Kona as our place to escape.

Why they chose this property

When we searched the Kona area for a condo, Keauhou Punahele stood out as a clean and well maintained complex, with roomy floorplans. It is a comfortable distance from the busier areas of Kona, so it is quiet and peaceful. But it's not too far to be able to visit the Kailua Kona city center on the waterfront in a short drive or bus ride. The condo is not on the waterfront, but is a great home base for venturing north or south to visit the variety that Big Island has to offer.

What makes this property unique

Keauhou Punahele is well kept - Beautiful landscaping, a handy clean pool facility, lined up along the Kona Country Club golf course.

KP is a bit out of the way - Not much traffic, no other adjacent complexes, quiet.

KP is not far from many things to do - The Keauhou Shopping Center is close, you can walk to the waterfront either north or south, golf is in youu back yard..
