About this property

The Hideaway at Buck Ridge. Pet friendly.

The Hideaway is a cozy 2 story home tucked into a the hills of south eastern Ohio. A full kitchen and living area combine to make a comfortable place for your group to gather. Porches running the full length of both upper and lower level give you lots of room to enjoy outdoor living. There are 5 bedrooms and 2 baths to accommodate 12 persons.
WiFi and TV, with a DVD player. Washer and dryer. Gas grill on the porch, as well as a porch swing, and 12 comfortable deck chairs and a table. Fire ring, firewood provided.
The driveway is gravel and a bit steep. Fine for cars unless there is snow or ice. We strongly suggest 4 wheel drive in winter months. Not suitable for cycles. Not handicap accessible, must go stairs to get to the main level where the kitchen and main living room are located.

Pet friendly. $50 per stay.
The area is quiet and has very low traffic. You can walk the road to the small creek or to the Amish neighbors.

Why they chose this property

The area is great for deer and turkey hunting, so we purchased some acreage for hunting privileges and then the house became available also. A win-win!

What makes this property unique

Where can you find a nice house in the middle of the boonies and feel so secure and refreshed? The clip clop of a horse and buggy going past just adds to the romance of the secluded area. Just a half mile away you can order Amish made pies, breads, rolls, cookies, crafts, hickory rockers, soaps, and fresh produce. Takes you back in time...
