About this property
Private 2-Bedroom Bungalow Bliss in North Park! Walking distance to everything!
Charming 2-bedroom bungalow in the heart of North Park's most desirable neighborhood! We are located on a quiet cul-de-sac, yet walking distance to many 30th St. restaurants, bars and shops in both South Park and North Park. The vacation rental is the front unit of our duplex home and is roomy with approximately 800 sq ft. Our quaint bungalow features tasteful furnishings, hardwood floors and a fully-equipped kitchen with a dine-in area. The dining area opens up to the living room, where you will find a comfy sectional and large-screen TV with a variety of new DVDs to watch and plenty of popular board games to play. We have comfortable and private sleeping arrangements for 4 people in beds, with a queen sized bed in room #1 and a full sized bed w/ a twin trundle in room #2. We have a *brand new* top-of-the-line central AC/Heat system that was just installed and attached to a smart thermostat. We also offer your own convenient washer and dryer with laundry soap for your use. Within a few minutes drive are: Downtown San Diego, Balboa Park, famous museums, the San Diego Zoo, San Diego Municipal Golf Course, Bud Kearns Aquatic Center, the Balboa Tennis Club and more! San Diego International airport (5.5 miles), and San Diego Convention Center (4 miles) are also an easy drive. Enjoy being close to everything wonderful that San Diego has to offer - from beaches to national parks to popular sightseeing destinations - and come home to your own bungalow bliss!
Explore our Hip Neighborhood:
Forbes magazine named North Park as one of America's best hipster neighborhoods, noting that "culturally diverse North Park is home to Craftsman cottages, cafes and diners, coffee shops, several microbreweries, boutiques, and the North Park Farmers Market. The North Park Theater and the Ray Street Arts District are also bastions of creativity in the area".
The Los Angeles Times writes: "North Park has all the ingredients for the cool school: It's culturally diverse and has art galleries, boutiques, trendy bars with handcrafted cocktails and local brews, and foodie-approved eateries."
An eclectic and diverse array of restaurants, as well as independent coffee shops, can be found along the main arteries of 30th Street and University Avenue. The area is also dotted with bars and night clubs that cater to a wide diversity of patrons. Downtown North Park contains the Ray Street Arts District. Ray at Night is a gallery walk held the second Saturday of every month in North Park. It is the largest and longest running art walk in San Diego's history. Nearby, the Observatory North Park, a concert venue, occupies the former Birch North Park Theatre, the former home of Lyric Opera San Diego.
North Park has a Farmers Market every Thursday which has been listed as one of the top 40 in the USA. The market is located on North Park Way between Granada Ave. and 30th Street. The Spring/Summer hours are 3pm-sunset, Fall/Winter 2pm-Sunset. They feature over 35 independent vendors; locally grown produce/flowers; gourmet/ethnic foods; arts and crafts; books; and, often, live music.
The San Diego Music Foundation hosts a large musical festival—North Park Music Thing—in the fall on El Cajon Boulevard, which helps add to North Park's reputation as a great community for the arts in San Diego.
As a tradition every December, North Park holds its annual holiday parade. Formerly known as the North Park Toyland Parade, it is now called the North Park Lions Club Holiday Parade.
