This newly renovated, top floor condo is 50 ft from the free bus line that will take you to the ski resort or downtown. The condo is complete with a full-size kitchen, dining area, living room, shared hot tub, and outdoor balcony. Other amenities include a gas fireplace, washer/dryer and ample storage for your gear.

As a year-round destination, Bigbear Lodge is in the perfect location to quickly enjoy skiing in Champagne Powder, snowshoeing the local trails, or all the summer activities you can think of. There's live music, arts and world-class dining all year long.

There is no hot tub so don’t be fooled by the photos like we were. Contrary to the pictures provided for the place the hot tub is out of service. Also be warned if you’re looking to use this place in the summer there is zero air conditioning and the place is a damn oven from 10am to 10pm

The condo is conveniently located, on a bus line to the base as well as downtown. The condo is clean, and has access to a hot tub and gas grills. It’s also got quick access to the path by the river. The patio faces a quiet courtyard and has views of the gondola peak.

We visited this condo in July. While the condo itself was nice, clean, close to the resort, and the host was consistently responsive, the overall stay was not to our liking. Unfortunately, the unit did not have an air conditioner. When we checked in, the temperature inside was 86 degrees and extremely hot. I wish I had researched this more thoroughly beforehand, but it also would have been helpful if the listing had clearly stated that there was no air conditioning. The host informed me of this only after we arrived.We had reserved the condo for three nights but ended up leaving on the second night because the heat was unbearable. Although the temperature cooled down after midnight into the early morning, and the fans provided some relief, it still wasn’t enough to make the stay comfortable.In addition, on our second night, children were playing and yelling in the area outside our condo until close to midnight, despite the posted sign indicating quiet hours between 10 p.m. and 8 a.m.

The BigBear Lodge was the perfect place in all ways for our brief visit to Steamboat Springs. The location made access to area attractions and the downtown shopping district very easy. The lodge itself was very clean and comfortable. A restful place to land after a busy day of whatever activities in the Steamboat area. The hosts were terrific to work with before and during or stay. Highly recommended.

Cute place, just the right size for a couple. I bet it’s great in the winter. Warm and the ski bus stop is very close. A bit warm in the summer with no AC but totally doable. I’ll be back if I come back to Steamboat.

The summer hiking and biking trails are just spectacular. We enjoy floating down the Yampa River and the great downtown restaurants. The summer outdoor movies on the mountain are really fun. The outdoor free concert series is really a bonus!

Winter here is magical. There is nothing like a day on the mountain skiing. The free bus is right outside the door and drops you off at the base of Steamboat Ski Resort. Come back home for a relaxing soak in the shared outdoor hot tub, dinner and a movie around our indoor fireplace or take the bus downtown for a beautiful stroll and dinner! It doesn’t get much better!

Spring, summer, winter and fall, Steamboat is a special place. It’s a lovely and friendly small town with so many family friendly experiences to partake in. We truly hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
