Comfy Lake House Retreat on Houghton Lake

The house is located on Houghton Lake, a 22,000 acre all recreational lake with 150 feet of waterfront. Placed on the North Bay, it is a perfect getaway.
The house has 3 bedrooms with 1 king, 1 queen and 2 sets of bunk beds (4 twins) to accommodate 6-8 people. There is 1 full and a 1 half bath. An open floor plan of the kitchen/dining/living room area. The home is fully furnished with typical kitchen appliances plus a dishwasher and garbage disposal. A sliding door leads out to a year round sun room with a lake front view. WiFi, cable, and a DVD player are included. All linens/towels are provided. Note: house is part of an 8 cottage resort. Only the house is open Nov -May.
Many winter activities include ice fishing, snowmobiling, cross country skiing, and snow shoeing. Don't forget Houghton Lakes Tip Up Town USA the last 2 weekends of January!
Sorry, pets are not allowed. Please keep all smoking outside and cigarette butts removed properly. Daily maid service is not available. Note: house is part of an 8 cottage resort. Only the house is open Nov -May.

Adorable cabin with great view of the lake!! Pictures match the rental and the host Mary is friendly, responsive, and helpful. Power went out for one morning and Mary came over and had us all taken care of! We loved our stay and hope to be back!

The pictures online don't do it justice. It was bigger and more open aired in design than the pictures suggest. Mary, the landlord, was kind, professional, and accommodating. I would go back in a minute. A++++++++

Great place on the lake

The house was very clean! We loved having the sun porch area for all our snow gear. We had everything we needed kitchen wise and loved the open floor plan. Would love to stay here during the summer!

Visited my Mom and this was the PERFECT place to stay. House was clean, cozy, and comfortable for the 6 adults and 2 children under 3. We had plenty of room to visit and the children loved the playground. Would highly recommend and plan to return!! Mary was a joy to work with.

What a tremendous place!! Four of us came up for golf and thankfully we found this home! First, the place was beyond clean. For anyone looking at the listing the pictures do not do it justice. Very open living area and the bedrooms are more then large enough. The front porch is a great place to play cards and enjoy the views of the lake. Had the privilege of meeting Mary. She was wonderful! Fully stocked kitchen. I won't ramble on but please do not hesitate to rent this home. I have nothing negative to say or any concerns for that matter. 5 star. Thanks Mary
